In 1981 Mel Brooks wrote a movie titled "History Of The World Part 1" and it was hilarious. It was Mel Brooks at his best. In my opinion, it's just as good as Blazing Saddles.
I was just browsing Hulu yesterday and this popped up. A new production of Mel Brooks titled "History Of The World Part ll". I thought "Oh here we go, somebody is going to take a great movie and completely screw it up by trying make a sequel. In today's climate, it's going to be some politically correct BS with none of the original humor. Dull as dishwater.

DAY-UM I was wrong. This is Mel Brooks doing what he does when modern Hollywood gets out of his way.
No politically correct BS. It's irreverent. It's crass. Maybe even insulting to some. It pulls no punches and apologizes to no one.

In other words, it's actually worth watching.

Can't get the video to imbed but here's the link.

Always love Mel Brookes.

Will watch, thanks, and will watch the first one again before it, so thanks for the Double Bill suggestions.

Popcorn time.

Thanks, I've been debating on whether or not to watch it.

When I saw the segments and cast, I thought it may have gotten ruined.

I shall give it a go.

Oh quick question?!?!?...

Was this segment in part 2?
youtu.be...

Did they do it? Yes? No? Yes no no no no yes?

Or is part 3 coming soon?

It definitely has a load of people in it...it definitely has its moments. Who doesn't dig Mel Brooks? really enjoyed the intro skit.

So far it's hit-and-miss

but it's better than Don't Look Up and most of the recent years of SNL

It did become an animated series, but I've not heard of a part 2.

It kind of faded as the season went on, I did enjoy the Jews in Space trailer for an alleged season 2.

It's like I saw in another review it was interesting enough to keep me somewhat engaged but it wasn't hilariously funny at all, just slightly amusing in some parts.

Felt a bit disjointed with the way it goes back in forth in the timeline and revisits certain eras way too much while skirting over eras altogether.

Evidently, Shirley Chisom was more influential than WWII and the Great Depression

What is this, the tenth time someone pulls a black Jesus for the small screen? lol

We never did get the blonde Iron Sky 2 version. You know, for D.I.E.

Y'all ain't met Lucy, and it shows.
