Many think America is experiencing a crisis in facts and truth, and they believe this problem ties into the current state of distrust people have in institutions. The Center recently reported that half of U.S. adults say made-up news and information is a very big problem in the country today, and about two-thirds say it causes a great deal of confusion about the basic facts of current issues and events. They also say made-up news and information has a big impact on Americans’ confidence in government

The most important issue to fix:

Rampant anti-intellectualism.

It has been a hindrance, and a detriment to this country almost since the very birth of the nation.

Which is ironic, since the founders and framers of the nation were among the leading intellectuals of their time.

True government transparency. Any other type of government is not of the people.

Elections! If our electoral process can't be trusted to be legal and authentic, then our entire government can't be trusted to be functioning for the benefit of the nation's citizens.

Democrats. Should lifetime ban all people who identify as a Democrat from all government offices, educational positions, and the news media. Then put term limits on all elected positions city and state as well as federal. Most of all the current problems would disappear in a couple of years including the border crisis, the upcoming green new deal disasters, supply chain shortages, and gas and diesel would be under $2.00 a gallon.

Too many career politicians invested in "broken" woke policies and procedures. And as the meme goes.

Washington DC and a baby needs to changed and changed often. And for the same reason.

There's a mountains worth of them, but here's my top 5 in no particular order:

- The ability of money, both corporate and private, to influence congress.
- opinion based journalism
- career politicians
- prioritizing feelings over truth
- political parties

I've been told repeatedly that you can't fix stupid.

Well, they may have been saying it to me but IDK...

I agreee. F ar too much to handle. Time to burn the house down and rebuild it. Maybe I shouldn't say 'house'. The way it is today, people will claim I'm claiming assassination or some retarded crap like that.

#!Freedom of speech and more laws to respect my freedom of speech. AND Strengthen personal privacy from every phone and internet connection and every company that tries to steal your info and sell it.

MOST IMPORTANT: Loophole laws. Make a law that prevents people from using loopholes. Call it common sense law. If you can't understand it, then it's not common sense enough. Too many laws on the books. How on earth is is possible to not be ignorant of most? It would take you many lifetimes to read them. Same with ToS. This should be illegal and default to your standard basic rights. No one with half a brain can believe a person can keep up with and read all of the ToS from everyone/everywhere/everything. You need a ToS to breathe today!

No terms to buy or own - property taxes... When you buy something, it should be yours - period.

#1 - Depose and re-elect every single political possition and make manditory term limits for ALL. 2 years terms, 4 year term limits. If you can't fix something in 2 years, you dont need to be there.

It shouldn't take years to resolve issues that affect our lives today!

#2 - Remove all reference to HATE crimes. This is bogus.

#3 - make laws against anyone that tries to take down free speech or 2nd amendment. It's sad that we have to prop up our laws to make them work.

#4 - Penalize heavily (as hate crimes did) when politicians lie or go back on their word.

This country needs to be taken back.

Like one user said.. wait too much to even bother with. Just burn it all down to ash and start over. Unfortunately you can't do this so - back to square one. Back to corner. Rat in cage.

meaning I realize that all that I had typed is useless because I firmly believe only God himself can fix it. ..by wiping it away and starting brand new.

Ahhh... I see why that is the most obvious answer. Revelations makes sense now.

Q: What do you think is the most important issue the United States should fix ?

A: They must first exorcise the cult from their neighborhoods. Already in progress.

Get rid of all politicians. all of the senators. They are left over from the days when we didn't even have a mail service. This would by default get rid of lobbyists.

Everyone can now vote on every issue with an app that gives them one unique id to vote. total transparency in regards to oversight. Then - we can see what the majority of the US really want.

And - we might not like those results either.

3 Issues in general for the world need to be fixed lol, not just for my southern neighbors!

1.Media Accountability--you can still have left and right news media, but have to be accountable to telling truths.

2. Abolish Online Social Media--all of it is toxic, it promotes division not cohesion

3."Wokeisms' --ex If you can say it is "My Truth" even when it is the furthest thing from a truth and you can not be challenged on it, that is a problem.

I miss the days when it walked like a duck, quacked like a duck and you knew it was an effing duck!!

That's a very good one if not the best. IDK how that slipped my mind? Well maybe I do, but man you're on point for sure.

IQ, cognitive and psychological evaluations for ALL politicians by an independent panel of qualified professional, along with AGE and term limits.

All new federal laws to be voted on by We, The People.

Better oversight and accountability of the Pentagon so we know where the billions go every few years that can't be accounted for.

Propaganda, and brain washing. The fact that our main media, is just an extension of a corrupt government. These would be great things to get fixed. Now if only every TV set would come equipped with a lie detector device, that wasn’t tampered with beforehand… now that would be one of the greatest invention that this country could ever receive. I’d have that contraption running full blast on any news cast, and all journalists.

So, this is like asking for your candy list for the run down to the candy store... only instead of candy it's 'civics.'

Umm... (In no specific order):

Ban the Republican and Democrat parties... force all 'members' to "reselect" or reestablish political principles,

Ban the Federal Reserve Banking system... create a sovereign currency owned and implemented by the United States, no more "unknown owners of the US currency system."

Remove up/down stream data monitoring by commercial entities,

Make compulsory "tax" a component of "compulsory reporting" by the tax authority - NO bank employees, leadership.

Extricate the US from all "international" and "global" commitments which were not passed by the public. Reinstitute any by virtue of OUR "democracy" and the processes WE oversee.

Eliminate all "internationally established" laws in the US - establish them as US laws - or don't have them at all...

Require all meetings with government officials to be transcribed and reported, all lobbyists must not only register, but must positively report their objects and results of each meeting,

Require ALL corporate charters to specify the "exact" scope and nature of its activities and require them to have a specific constraint to 'end' activity... no more "immortal" corporate persons,

BAN all faux "civil" businesses created or funded by a government agency, also ban all "quasi-governmental" entities,

Rework and restructure Juris Prudence within our country,

Render all "government-funded" activities a financial open book,

Firmly establish and defend US sovereignty as the natural extension of "personal sovereignty,"

Subject ALL higher education to public review... just like any other education,

and

Create an office for "US Inspector General" that has no jurisdictional constraint, with no "political appointee" status... and complete PUBLIC oversight.

I could go on and on....

[edit to add]

Completely overhaul all copyright and patent laws... this time do it in public.

Propaganda at the highest levels of our government and the incestuous relationship of msm pushing governments propaganda needs to be treated as the treasonous act it is.
