Not sure whats cracking on north of Deadhorse airport but there is a Lockheed Martin HC-130J circulating the area. Assuming inspecting the wreckage site where it came down.

I wonder what coast it was shot down from. Looks like storms and clouds all along the west and south coasts of Alaska.

If it was ET then it would have been a suicide bicycle ride because the government was watching the object since last Thursday evening.

General said it was heading northeast, checking the winds over Alaska that seems would be impossible for a balloon

Hovering over Alaska currently, I don't see any wind blowing NE.

It's a case of smokes and mirrors. More than likely a fabricated story to make dippy joe look like hes doing something.

WTF is going on with Whoopi GB's shirt-It appears to have a picture of a dog wearing a niqab/nun outfit on the lower left?
Or am I having eyesight problems?

It looks like a weather cover for a large sedan. Check for brands with that image on it.

Looks like someone or something with a black nose in a hazmat suit.

It seems to me that the air currents are bringing the floating objects along the same trajectory.

is it a big sucking wind towards DC?

I would think all the hot air coming from there would be blowing things *away* from central US

There seems to be a few air vortex all heading towards Alaska.

There's a map of the flight at Must Read Alaska.

ETA:
The article mentions "Aviation sources are speculating the Air Force has its eye on a submarine.". That adds a new dimension.

Non-maneuverable, and floating == balloon. The size of a car is very similar to common weather/experimental balloons that are used daily/weekly by scientists, high schools science classes, and others. They do get bigger as they get waaayy up, but that is a common size.

For them to find it threatening, there must have been something fishy about it, or just a photo op. Even if it originated in China, it would still likely be just a weather, or or science type thing at that size. They usually have a small sensor package for stuff like air temp/pressure/humidity or some other special thing in the case of college or HS projects.

I saw someone else mention that it was sitting at 40,000 ft. Which puts it at the same level as most commercial airliners. So that could be why it was shot down so quickly.

That said, I think the whole thing is just a little bit of dick wagging on both sides. China thought it was a fluke we detected the last balloon and that we were bluffing when we were had retroactively identified three other balloons. So they sent another. In response, we shot this one down promptly to let them know it was no fluke.
