First of all, there is no such thing as toxic masculinity If it's toxic, it's a feminized version. That's what it makes it toxic. True masculinity is what the world - and especially women - needs.

I've recently come into possesion of digital copies of all five Dirty Harry movies. Harry Callahan kicks ass.

I've never seen all five of them. Last time I remember seeing the first one, my mama was working consession at a drive-in theater when I was a but a lad, and she'd take us to the drive-in on Friday nights when she worked. We'd sit on the benches out front of the consession stand and watch the feature. I saw the first Dirty Harry movie there. I also remember seeing The Doberman Gang and Z.P.G. there, as well as Black Beauty. (I specifically remember that a big group of black youngsters showed up for Black Beauty on Friday night and were a little pissed when they found a movie about a bunch of aristocratic white people and a horse.)

I'm so enjoying this movie. I seldom watch movies and when I do these days, I usually come away feeling like I've wasted my time. I'm sure this - like som many other classics - cold nevrer be made today. It's hurt to many feewings.

I loved dirty Harry.
His overkill caliber revolver was awesome.

All of the movies are pretty good. Decent story's with enough action to keep things interesting.

The guy who owns my local gun store said that when Dirty Harry came out, sales of that particular magnum revolver went through the roof. I wonder why!?

I always thought it was a cool gun but never wanted to own one.
Better have strong wrists.

I’ve owned a few .44 Mag revolvers and they are a bitch to shoot.
Heavy and crazy recoil, I sold them and got a .44 Special, same firepower with less recoil
.44 Special rounds have a slightly shorter case, so a little bit less powder.
You can shoot .44 Special ammo in .44 Mag pistols but not the other way around.
This is the one I have, Charter Arms .44 Target Bulldog

You know, I never wanted to own one of those, either. They do kick a lot, but I always preferred a larger caliber. My preference has always been a .45 automatic, like the 1911 A1, which I have two of. Larger caliber, but less kick, in my opinion.

Oh, yeah:

If you'll notice my profile picture, Mack Bolan seems to be holding a .44 Magnum Automag, which is the gun Dirty Harry used in Sudden Impact.

Great films.

I would argue that the Gauntlet belongs in the series even though it's a different character.
