You can’t make this up, it’s laugh out loud funny.

When I was only ten and saw alien for the first time, i was blown away, Sigourney is a great strong hero in my eyes.

The actual person who started the whole thing was Anne McCaffrey with her book "The Ship Who Sang."

She was the first Author to have a main female heroine.

Sigourney was hot.

She still looks amazing, I just got back from avatar way box the water. She makes a couple of cameos.

She is a beautiful woman, loved her in galaxy quest, so bloody funny.

Linda Hamilton is a hard ass too, pretty versatile, was a hoot in resident alien.

I just checked out the ship who sang, looks like it’s worth a read.

Can we include Fay Way in King Kong?

btw, I loved Sigourney Weaver in the Alien movies. She's the first person I thought of when I heard Lawrence's comment.

That would be quite impossible because there was no Fay Way in King Kong (or any other movie)...

Perhaps you wanted to suggest Fay Wray?

Vina Fay Wray was a Canadian/American actress best known for starring as Ann Darrow in the 1933 film King Kong.

Not quite.

H.G. Wells novel " Ann Veronica " had a female heroine, which was published 50 years earlier, in 1909.

Always liked Fay.

I'm honoured to learn she's Canadian.

Learn something new, everyday.

OP: Sigourney > Jennifer

People can cuss and discuss who the first female heroin was in action movies/shows until they drop from exhaustion..
Buffy
Ripley
Conner
Croft
Alice
Barbarella...?😂

But one thing that we all can agree on was that it was definitely not Jennifer Laurence....

Um, perhaps she means JenLaw paved the way for female action heros to have their butt (like inside the crack region) photos online.

Jenn Law was way off. Catwoman is a wicked action heroine from way back.

Just to name a few.

How about Pippi Langstrumpf? She could hold up a horse and beat up robbers.

Sigourney Weaver showed all women everywhere just how strong we can be, I'm not even aware of who this 'Jennifer Lawrence' person is!
