Florida has been an interesting state for elections in around the last 25 years.

First in 2000 they were the laughing stock of the entire country with their hanging chads and problem counts during Bush vs Gore.
After being mocked and denigrated for putting the whole country through that; they promised to do better in the coming years.
And they actually did it, in 2016 the election was decided fairly quickly, Trump won, in 2020 again decided fairly quickly Trump won again no issue at all compared to the rest of the country. Then DeSantis determined to never have a repeat of 2000 or what happened in other states 2020 did this.

Finally the 2022 midterms and we knew right away who won.

Even strongholds of Democrats like Miami/Dade voted way more for the GOP.
Basically we can say Florida of all the potential purple states has turned solid red, because they have their election process properly vetted.

Other States could now learn a thing or two from Florida.
How can you have democracy if you can't get an accurate vote, it starts at the local State level to make the proper changes.
Florida did it, their example should be federally mandated, I know it can't be but it should be.

I havent seen anyone ask why.

Why did Miami-Dade go red this year?

Could it be because of the "defortification" efforts?

Or is Desantis just that great?

Both?

Partially because conservatives from blue states moved there in large numbers.

Florida, setting the example?

Looks like.

Failure isn't the measure, correcting failure is.

Ahhh.. the ever sophisticated take on politics from Florida man.
Republivan no win? But they win floridaa. Democrat cheat!

States and counties that take way to long to count are attempting to cheat. Entire third world countries tally their votes in the same day.

I don't see how anyone could be surprised that the democrats were going to cheat the elections again where ever they would be allowed to do so. No heads rolled from the 2020 election, so they KNOW they can get away with it time and time again. Until elections get fixed nationwide, just accept the fact that we have absolutely no say in national elections any longer. IMHO.

Does that just mean presidential election aren't secure? As far as I know, Republicans took the house.

Nevermind, someone posted in another thread that the Republicans took the house. Just checked Google and the results aren't all in.

Latino community has always been fairly conservative and the lefts racing for 9 month abortions crossed a line, then jamming the lgbtq+ agenda onto kids crossed another.

Least thats what friends back in florida are telling me.

So American Latino's are pragmatic and won't suffer fools, good I hope they teach all their immigrant friends, that this is the way.

Ron is Gov of course but Maimi is Rubio territory... Trump appeared 2 days before the election pulling for Rubio in a solid blue Latino majority district, Trump converted it to red.

But the media isn't going to volunteer that information or analysis, they want the narrative to be that Trump is harmful to the brand to try to debase him and divide the party or "moderate" us.

As soon as Trump announces he will be back front and center on TV, the media won't be able to avoid it.

11.13.2022 - Post 2022 midterm elections...

PRIORITY #1 is to "CLEAN UP" THE U.S. ELECTION SYSTEM INFRASTRUCTURE:

In a rigged electoral system, no Republican candidate, not even DeSantis, can be expected to win a national election.

DeSantis cruised to victory in Florida because, as governor of the state, he had the means and the authority to ensure a clean election.

But he would be helpless against a massive crime organization, aka the Democrat Party, which effectively controls the electoral infrastructure, the physical apparatus, the paid loyalty of election workers, and the federal agencies that oversee the process.

If the system is not repaired and made answerable to the people, there will never be a Republican president again.

Should DeSantis run in 2024 and lose — which is increasingly likely in the current adulterated circumstances — the sequel would be devastating...

American elections are an absolute joke.

Every country in Europe: Results known within 24-48 hours
India: a country with more votes cast than the entire US population: results known within 48 hours.
Brazil: results known within 48 hours.

America: Counting goes on for weeks and weeks.

American elections have less legitimacy than ones in the Middle East where you have to go to separate stations to vote and the one for the opposition is surrounded by the ruling party’s militia.

The UN sucks big time but the US seems in dire need of election observers. I am pretty sure there is less overall irregularity in those African elections where the total votes cast are 500% more than the total population.

It is absolutely 100% possible to have an honest election. We have the ability, the technology, and the right. What we don't have are enough people to make it happen. Not when there are so many who are willing to fight for the right to keep things vague and deceptive. And there is only one reason to do that - cheating. No one who actually wants a fair election is in favor of keeping things unvetted, vague and deceptive. Only cheaters want that.

So ask yourself: is your side in favor of stricter voter id requirements? More stringent monitoring of mail in ballots and voter registration? Purging voter registration rolls of people who are deceased or no longer living in the district?

If not, why do you support them?

i never believed dade was ever democrat.
as a cuban immigrant myself i can tell you cubans are very much anti socialism and anti the democrat party.

also many other latin Americans that compose dade county tend to lean like the cubans as well.

i say they finally did a good job preventing a steal this time.
