Am wondering what the general sentiment is here towards the seasonal flu vax.

I've never had much problem with it. I pretty much believe the ones in the past have been generally helpful.

This year? I don't know. Every time I think of it (or any other poke for that matter) I'm stopped in my tracks thinking, "What if they added that mRNA crap to it without telling us?"

Does anyone here know? Or, am I just being paranoid?

To answer your question, all you have to do is type in, "mrna in flu vaccination", into ecosia, or your favorite search engine.

New mRNA flu vaccine testing launching now - UCHealth Today
The first phase of the Pfizer mRNA flu vaccine clinical trial aims to test the vaccine on people ages 65 to 85 since older adults are at the greatest risk if they get sick with the flu (along with newborns). If the clinical trials for mRNA flu vaccines go well, later phases will test the new vaccines on younger adults and possibly in children.

Universal Flu mRNA Vaccine: Promises, Prospects, and Problems
The seasonal flu vaccine is, essentially, the only known way to prevent influenza epidemics. However, this approach has limited efficacy due to the high diversity of influenza viruses. Moderna also notes that in the future they could develop an mRNA vaccine that combines the seasonal flu with a SARS-CoV-2 booster. I honestly think we as a species are de-evolving.

Next we'll be getting told we should trust Shamen and our Faith to rid of us of all ailments.

I think it's "shaken baby syndrome". It's when a frustrated parent, not knowing what to do to stop a newborn baby from crying, holds the baby up by under the arms and violently shakes the baby causing the brain to shake violently, front to back, within the skull. It causes brain damage.

16 more coronavirus/flu shot mix ups reported

The Institute for Safe Medicine Practices collects data from consumers to report mix-up incidents and promote safe medication practice.

Officials there say their data shows 16 people in the last month that have reported getting the COVID vaccine when they went in for a flu shot.

www.14news.com...

Could it be that some didn't report it or weren't aware they received the wrong vaccine?

Curious if they’ve been able to improve the range of “vaccination” beyond 25-35% yearly?

Probably why it’s called the flu shot and they had to call the Covid shot a vaccine. Otherwise some comparisons about efficacy might be drawn.

Edit: I think personally the flu is coming back with a vengeance as Covid stole the limelight and there weren’t any flu deaths for a couple years. Ahem.

See my source above about how the flu vaccine is made.

Probably flu cases went down cos of lockdowns and masks and now a lack of natural immunity?

Perhaps?

No flu deaths?

At all?

Source?

ScientificAmerican claims 700 in 20-21.
Don’t know how to link.

Also your source doesn’t give the appropriate percentage of people that will become vaccinated to the flu per year.

Even though the number known to be well below 50%.

Maybe they’ll have better luck with the mRNA tech?

That's nothing to do with the source I posted about.

Or why?

It's not mRNA tech?

Stay angry.

I've had the flu jab before, my job used to pay for it to try to reduce sick days. They didn't force you, it was just offered.

mRNA flu shots, or combined jabs for flu and covid will be how they get all the holdouts to take the clotshot so I think I won't be getting it this year. I switched jobs and I'm working for myself now so I'd have to pay out of pocket anyway.

I wash my hands thoroughly, often. I dress appropriately. I get lots of fresh clean air with my daily roadwork in the morning. I supplement daily with vitamin C, D, zinc and magnesium.

I don't take orders from the smartphone, TV or media.

I am very healthy and intend to remain that way up until the moment eternity snatches me from this realm.

I'm sure you have a daily dose of honey ( not chinese honey ) in your diet. I try to buy honey and it seems to work well for the elderly here in Hokkaido. Honey is great on pancakes also.

Angry? Nah. Nice assumption.

Amigo I’m asking why the flu shot is generally good for about 35% annually of the average population but it is referred to as a shot and not a vaccine the way Covid is.

When they do the same with regards to medicine.

So confused maybe. Angry? no.

I’m not the one that pays Pfizer’s investors with my body.

Yawn. Your posts are uninspired tripe. Carry on.

I'm really not sure the helpful tag is right...

the 2018 flu wave killed an excess of 50,000(ons data) in the UK the first wave of covid killed between 37,500 and 47,000 (imperial/ons data) with the highest proportion of deaths in care homes for both covid and flu.

Ineffective flu vaccine added to 50,000 extra deaths last winter, ONS says

not sure i hear even the elderly who normally go for their annual flu shot are now saying no, such is the destruction of trust science and gov have managed to craft..

Over 30 million people urged to take up ‘vital’ flu and COVID-19 vaccines

claimed record uptake while still claiming to be 30m short and down in all the groups they feel need the jabs..

There was record uptake of the flu jab in people aged 65 and over in 2021 and 2022 (82%), though there was lower uptake among people in clinical risk groups and pregnant women and these groups are particularly encouraged to come forward this year.
