NASA's Mars Insight lander was sent to the Red Planet to listen for Marsquakes but last year it heard something different , released a couple of days ago is audio of the thing it heard and visuals of what was left on Mars after what it heard had been heard.

Hear it for yourself...

NASA Insight mission's seismometer data of a meteor slamming into Mars has been converted into sound. The meteor broke into multiple pieces during its entry into Mars atmosphere and created at least three craters which were imaged by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

Insight is coming to the end of its planned 2 year mission due to the accumulation of dust on its Solar panels lowering its power levels but along with registering Marsquakes for nearly 4 years it's now provided the first sound of a Meteor striking an Alien World .... not bad Chaps !

Eww, so much cartoon filler before getting to the point of the video.
And that batman and robin soundtrack is just strange.

Yeah it is annoying but I'm guessing they want to appeal to a broader audience , bright colours , funky music = down with the Kidz man.

Like a drop of water and the ploop.

Oh Canada. 51.3106889, -68.6629931

back 210 million years. This meteorite impact formed a crater, the largest and most complex in Canada. Mount Babel and a strip of land averaging six kilometers wide in the center of the island are the two main areas of shock metamorphism that resulted from rebounding from the center of the crater.

Like a water drop. 💧www.environnement.gouv.qc.ca...
Ploop but hollow. Still can't upload maps picture of that area.

So here's an old pic from the public files.

Meateor!

Thanks again Gortex.
