Pilot Threatening To Crash Stolen Plane Into Mississippi Walmart

The pilot of the small plane began circling over Tupelo, Mississippi, at about 5am local time (11am BST) and was still in the air more than three hours later.

He is said to have threatened to crash the aircraft into a local Walmart store.

Both the Walmart and a nearby convenience store have been evacuated as a precaution, Tupelo police said.

They added that they have made contact with the pilot directly.

Just came across this on a news feed i thought it looked pretty nuts.

The situation is apparently ongoing with authorities "asking citizens to avoid that area until an all clear is given."

Authorities say a plane that was circling over northern Mississippi and whose pilot had threatened to crash it into the ground landed safely on Saturday.

Gov. Tate Reeves announced on Twitter that the “situation has been resolved and that no one was injured.” He thanked law enforcement agencies that helped in bringing the aircraft down. The plane started circling over Tupelo, Mississippi, about 5 a.m. and was in the air for more than five hours.

He sounds like a mad bastard big GTA 5 fan to me.

Jokes aside, people that wish to crash airplanes into buildings, well let's get them locked away and/or committed sharpish would be my thinking on the matter.
