New science finding that a low cortisol level is very often found in blood samples from Long COVID patients. This finding can help expedite the diagnosis of Long COVID and get help faster for these people. Link:

In addition to a quicker Long COVID diagnosis, these science findings can also simplify the diagnosing of chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. The cost of diagnosis will also be reduced.

Interesting stuff, but since cortisol is linked to stress, and weight gain does that mean healthy people with less stress are being hit with long COVID more than the unhealthy stressed persons

FWIW I'm not sure of the existence of long COVID, much less its causes.

Long covid is chronic fatigue. Almost every virus can trigger chronic fatigue and covid isn't special here.

Bingo! I've been wracking my brain, trying to figure out why Long Covid and vaccine injured share the same symptoms, and now it makes sense!

Low cortisol level symptoms certainly fit the MO for both! Thanks, V!

Long covid is a wealthy white liberal woman's neurosis.

It means that people with long-covid and higher levels of stress (cortisol levels), would be harder to detect using this type of testing.

It's funny how doctors are "mystified" by anything going on.

If they are really that confused they are a ton of low IQ doctors that just memorize facts to get through med school. Doctors that I've spoken to don't impress me at all.

Think this is pretty much the case, that's why there's mostly 'take these' for your symptoms. See you soon! There's zero attempt to solve the riddle.

You can add lasting changes to the sense of taste and smell.

That can be a CFS symptom.

having gone through the mill with a clot, the specialists I've talked to admit they are clueless how they can treat clots in those with no underlying health issues.. the recovery confounds them which highlights how little they know and how much is by rote.

The article mentions this " She is hearing from a “significant number of people” who reported long-term health problems after vaccination"....so they are aware of this in the field, but deny it in the health agencies that are backing vaccines for covid.

This sort of backs what some doctors that have been gas lighted have been saying over the last year or more.

Balanced cortisol levels are necessary for good health, too little or too much at the wrong time cause problems. I think the authors of this article are on the right path to figure out how to limit long covid from happening, but it will take lots of research and proper evaluation to fix the issue. If the health agencies allow the medical field to do their job and butt out of it maybe they can help these people.
