What are these messages?

I've been getting these weird messages in my email inbox.

They come from people with 'made up' names, and contain a weird numeric code and .pdf file

This is what a preview of the email looks like. Anyone know what they are about? I'm afraid to open them or look at the pdf file...

I'm 99.999999% sure it is spam/phishing.

I'm an IT manager and see this sort of thing constantly.

Delete, delete & delete!



ETA: I believe they originate in Russia... lately, they've been very busy!

If you don't know what it is and who it's from, always delete.

identify it as spam first so your email will start blocking the ip routing... if curious you could open it the pdf in a sandbox.

edit to add:
Boolean search just brings back a manual for "modular tweezers" from a company called Thor Labs...

If you've purchased such a thing they just emailed you the manual for it several times.

delete the messages and don't open them. unless you feel bad for your local computer guy and really want to see him and give him some cash.
