Jesse Marcel on what really happened at Roswell

Quick little near 3 minute video of the man himself Jesse Marcel on what he found that day.

This is for the naysayers, the disbelievers, they who don't believe.

Hit the wreckage metal with a sledgehammer and it bounced off it. The piece of metal was as thin as foil..

Would love to see the photographs they took.

from Wiki

February 22, 2022 - Jesse Marcel Sr. (1907 – 1986) was a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force who helped administer Operation Crossroads, the 1946 atom bomb tests at the Bikini atoll. He was a key figure in the 1947 Roswell alleged UFO incident, which did not surface again until the late 1970s.

Being a high ranking military officer, I have to wonder who gave him clearance to discuss the details of his Roswell experience. Either he has nothing to add that hasn't already bee declassified, or was given the ok to divulge untold details by higher authority.

He wrote a book about Roswell in 2008; I haven't read it, but I'd probably enjoy his take on the story and seeing if there's new information in it.

Unbreakable metal? Which was somehow in pieces and strewn across the Foster Ranch.

He never once mentions recovering any alien bodies either. And he never did.

Ooh, ooh, I have a theory about that.

Unbreakable for us, but not for those whom invented the material. What if... they had a protocol that their crafts were to self-destruct in case of an imminent crash on Earth or wherever? My problem with my own theory is that they could had done a better job and vaporised the damn thing.

Kind of reminds me of…..

……”Goldbeating is the process of hammering gold into an extremely thin unbroken sheet for use in gilding.”……

And then there’s this……

…..”Tungsten, or wolfram, is a chemical element with the symbol W and atomic number 74. Tungsten is a rare metal found naturally on Earth almost exclusively as compounds with other elements. It was identified as a new element in 1781 and first isolated as a metal in 1783.”……

……”Tungsten
Impact strength determines how much energy a metal can absorb through impact without shattering or fracturing. Tungsten, which is Swedish for "heavy stone," is the strongest metal in the world.”……

Tungsten is used in Aerospace

Here’s an example of a sheet of Tungsten metal and from this particular Mfg…..it’s their smallest thickness .002”

The black line the arrow is pointing to below, is in fact a .002” gap on the micrometer.

That’s damn thin….so thin a person could construe to the thinness of the cigarette wrapper.

Perhaps he was looking and pounding on tungsten metal being used or developed for future Aerospace materials, that he plainly was unaware of at that time.

Marcel does not state whether the metal sheet 1.5’ x 2’ x 3’ …(which is not a “fragment” size imo) he pounded with a hammer on was thought to be the skin of the craft or from an internal part of the crafts internal structure.

In 1940, the development of iron, nickel, and cobalt-based super alloys began to fill the need for a material that could withstand the incredible temperatures of jet engines……I have know doubt tungsten was added to the development as a material that went on to be used for several purposes beyond jet engines….

I personally still think it was the payload from a real long train of materials and equipment that was carried by a balloon.

Yep it's always good to use your imagination like that but if you watch the rest of the video, which comes from an episode of "In Search Of" there is mention of finding an old FBI document detailing finding "an experimental kite".

The specific place is linked to here

Then there are news reports from the Roswell Daily Record of July 8th 1947 confirming Mac Brazel (the rancher) described the 'object' made of "rubber strips, tinfoil, a rather tough paper and sticks".

Or a day later report from Waco which also mentions "remnants of a kite and balloon".

Lots of experiments with craft in those days based on the intelligence personnel trade after wwII. Along with psychological and chemical agents as drugs.

Well is an interesting word especially when coupled with the word poisoning.

If one thinks of fame as something akin to a gravity well then such a thing will seem to bear weight even if the actor is by all accounts an idiot he or she can play or fake the part in a convincing enough manner that people believe the lie presented before them there is also a lie that there are only two emotions when presented such media happy or sad and the other as in aroused as the trigger for both.

Television being a rather new and increasing device in the household it could be used to sell, bait lure and trap people into believing anything presented on it since it wasn't really "press" it fell entirely under the Federal Communication Act and then later Commission... commision means taxes meaning the act or law which it originally fell under was deemed press or free but in order for it's maintenance a tax would be levied or garnered to continue its use... meaning as long as the government got it's tax or levy it didn't matter what was on it... only when people would complain about it's content to political officials would such ado about nothing would be made so to compromise the church and state separation over the public domain ratings for age restrictions were issued or added as a standard.

Seeing the federal government as the enemy one loses out on freedom; seeing all the lobby and complaint from the public to state or elected officials is where the ruin arises or the freedom that the federal constitution guarantees goes flying out the window.

Crony capitalism was brought up in the last few elections; and that has to do with all of those happy to use their elected voice for the lobby instead of the majority of the united states... as a state representative they can spout numbers blank percentage polled say this in the state I represent a true representative will not state their opinion on the issue as they have to go by that number... the cronies don't. It isn't that there is a confusion of what 60% 40% means it obviously means a majority says blank.

If one uses the concept of celebrity? Then such so called numbers go right out of the window as they are really no different than a walking talking for hire/rent billboard with and without sponsors all over them at any given time.

"Influencers" is a term these days for just about anyone that has a large following or voice online... the odd thing is those that have a livlihood in pornoghraphy are the largest influencers some with well over a million followers it's not like they sat on their hands to get such a following and like any fame or celebrity it can hit the dirt rather quickly like the stock exchange bell ringing one trade away. Of course that career choice falls under the FCC, FBI and the freedom of speech.

Whomever politically brought the concept of "hate speech" into the political forum is directly attacking free speech which is guaranteed by the constitution.

The federal government does not really want to get involved and the state government doesn't really want to get involved either but crony capitalism gets whatever it is heard on on the floor when more important things should take precedence.

When one sees that it is crony capitalism or career politicians happy to wear the billboard on topics and issues then it becomes a celebrity instead of this many want this by all polls. Crony capitalism wants first the Act and then the commission which sets up an office or bureaucracy not a democracy which means the percentage of Americans want blank... the federal government as the republic can easily say fine; vetoing all the past legislation when they didn't want that is all that is required.

Two thirds majority is when the federal is supposed to say hey all fifty states two thirds of you polled want blank... remove all previous legislation covering blank off of your state legislations.

That's how easy government is supposed to work without the lobby and crony capitalism trying to create illegal monopolies and ponzi schemes as get rich quick schemes and cornering or edging out a market until there is no competition. As I have seen it the parties as they are termed are nothing but lobby organizations.

So if aircraft company A and Aircraft company B say you want tungsten or no you want aircraft grade aluminum? Both are contracted to find out which one is best under all conditions and then awarded a manufacturing contract when that is known? Is when crony capitalism jumps in aircraft company A won the government contract and stocks go through the roof fortunately insider trading was banned in an effort to prevent such a thing yet through proxy it still goes on.

World fair in the nineteen twenties something similar occured the government grant was given to Edison and Tesla had to take a backseat as a pseudoscientist as the press tried to paint him. Just in the nineteen eighties did people start going back into Tesla and seeing what was there of any value plasma ball basically a funky light bulb with pink lighting... still others looked deeper and that tech is surfacing.

So one could say wow all that hoopla of government contracts may have held us back calling the competitor valueless... when the competitor may have found something else in metallurgy etc.

So 0.002 tungsten how does it hold up in the freeze zone if shot at very high altitude does it shatter like glass? Who knows... who knows... under that altitude of course? It may just well be the bees knees.

We don't need 3-minute videos of Marcel in the late-70s. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt & mug.

What we DO need, for the first time, is a statement or diary entry from Marcel (or anyone else) circa the Summer of 1947 regarding extraterrestrial thoughts or theories about Roswell - because it would be the first time that ET ever got a look-in for this case, decades before it became a rather different, money-spinning story.

In fact, more generally, if you can find one singular 1947 Roswell-related reference to "aliens/ET" (*FROM* 1947 before the case was forgotten by the world), I'll buy you some strawberries & cream.

PS: Remember - "flying saucers" and "flying disks" that Summer were a Cold War discussion point, not an Outer Space issue, Roswell occurring within weeks of Ken Arnold's sighting. It was after Roswell had been forgotten that "alien" theories began with gusto outside the pages of 'Amazing Stories' etc. And Hollywood was waiting with equal enthusiasm as Howard Hawks' 'The Thing From Another World' began production.

If Orson Welles' radio presentation of 'The War Of The Worlds' had been broadcast in 1947 rather than 1938, it's likely ET would indeed have been the talk of Roswell.

But it wasn't. So far... unless you fancy those strawberries & cream!

strawberries & cream

aha...So aliens do like strawberry ice cream after all

I agree, Roswell is a hype job

in the late 70s and early '80s came the disinformation IC boom to ufology and Roswell was at the vanguard of that

Why then, I don't know.

YOU are the blind, uneducated believer. This topic has been discussed here ad infinitum and the consensus is that Marcel was not in his right mind and was seduced by new publicity and financial gain. Do a search here (and everywhere) for Jesse Marcel and your beliefs should be replaced by logic and common sense. You are in deep water without a life jacket.

A book I’m presently perusing……

Interesting…..I don’t yet have an opinion, however there is a nugget of dialogue about something not Roswell related….that keeps me in pseudo awe…..and needs clarification by the folks here on ATS. It requires a separate thread at some point.

Anyway here’s the book…..covers and inside page.

Published 2007

Has anyone read it yet? If so, was there something Marcel say’s to Linda non Roswell but odd the way he phrases it. If you’ve read it you may have picked up on it. Otherwise I’ll wait to start a thread later on.

It’s called the alien bandwagon effect, in the form of a lot of green dollar bills floating in his brain like a ufo through the sky

Better yet : Not crash it in the first place.
That has always confounded me.
A 40' craft that can travel the speed of light , yet they "crash".
AT least 1,000s , if not millions , of years ahead of earthlings.
Pilot error ?
I think not .

Is it even worth discussing anymore, really? Believers going to believe. Read Mac Brazels description in the newspaper article IN 1947. He undoubtedly describes human-made debris from Mogul test flights. Period and end of story. Brazel had no motivation to give his story IN 1947 except possibly the rewards offered. Creating an official chain of custody by telling the sheriff and pubically through his newspaper story. Read it.
The only account we have a month later IN 1947. Not 30 years later through the biased lens of UFOLOGIST Stanton Friedman. I'm sure Friedman heard this story and thought this is it and ran with it.

Brazel never mentioned exotic material in that interview. The man responsible for the entire story! The man that handled the debris! So we're to believe he found it and hoping for a reward and never mentioned these amazing propeties in his article!? What a surefire way for him to seal that deal on collecting the reward by saying these unearthly properties if it was true IN 1947 a month after HIS "discovery".  Come on, exotic unbreakable material just slipped his mind with his initial telling of the story? How much more exciting it would that be for his story.

It's unfortunate that this tale continues to get recycled on and on. Ignorance.

Who claimed the unbreakable metal is what the craft was made of?

Coulda been metal that was protecting something

"There was so much of it, it was scattered everywhere"... "it was in such small fragments"... "you couldn't bend it or dent it"
Paraphrasing Jesse Marcel.

Whatever came down crashed, it didn't land intact. It was in small pieces.

Is there any witness(s) ever mentioning that there was a rain storm the day the crash was heard ..
before Brazel shows up at the site days later.

Info links would be nice for a “rain storm” mentioned specifically.
