Someone has been watching too many movies...thats not really how it works in reality though...

Putin is taking out the US funded bio labs in Ukraine as part of the "special military operations." The black hats are panicked because Ukraine has a lot of their secrets. Those politicians with sons on the boards of Ukrainian energy companies (Pelosi, Kerry, Romney, Biden) are starting to think that they might have a problem.

Putin has been griping about US funded bioweapons labs on his borders for a while. The US says that they are legit for study of disease prevention but why do we need so many?

Reality is RPG and missiles blow up trucks and tanks and things burn.

And that's not just in movies or so I'm lead to believe.

The reality is that column is sitting duck and should be hit.

Might wish to look back at Gulf war one to see what can happen to trucks and armour in a convoy formation, after all the wreckage stretched for miles .

Reality is that if the column is actually immobile, do you think that the there is no perimeter by Russian ground forces? That perimeter will be covered by air and artillery. Russians have lots of attack helos and artillery. That column is poison to any attackers and they would be better off cutting the roads at choke points/ bridges.

Your reference to the Gulf war refers to a panicked retreat in an unprotected column trying to run away from attack aircraft.

A burning vehicle is one thing and if whatever AT weapon penetrates then yea the vehicle will probably burn and maybe even detonate ammo. That won't magically spread into another armored vehicle beside it...

Also the RPGs they have are woefully old and not super helpful against most of the targets they are facing...its kind of why everyone in the west has been giving javs.

The golf war has nothing to do with what you are saying. Most of those wrecks you saw in that scenario were produced by much bigger munitions than a shoulder launched AT missile. Do you think we ran up with soldiers and fired ATGMs at a few targets and it just chain reacted along the line?

So what’s up with this convoy ? Are they still waiting for gas and food ? Why hasn’t anyone carpet bombed it yet ? Maybe it’s the Russian version of the Trojan horse ?

Carpet bombing is a term for indiscriminate bombing of a large area which is not a good way to do things. Some reports are that the Ukrainian Azov troops are shooting at their own people to blame on the Russians. This uncertainty is called the "fog of war" and ensures that those external to the conflict don't know who is shooting at who.

The Ukrainians have found Russian equipment is not maintained and in sad shape.

Tires on some equipment have been found to be over 30 years old, and it looks like the Russians see it as if the tires hold air they are good.
Stockpiled equipment may have not been serviced in over 20 years, no oil changes or lubed.

Weapons with rust on them.

The maneuvers before the invasion may have been just the Russians trying to get the equipment running, so it could be used.
Conscripts were given the oldest equipment, and front line regular troops got the best equipment.
Conscripts are seen by many regular Russian troops as bullet magnets and expendable.

Wouldnt be surprised if the Azov are taking the opportunity to exterminate "woke" people.... they hate them as much as the russian right wing and could easily pin the murders on them.

For some reason, President Zelensky didn't order his airforce to scrape the convoy, as so many advised him to do.

Now it appears the convoy was not "bogged down", but was (patiently) waiting for orders.

As of this morning, it has suddenly broken into small groups. Small units that have re-deployed around the outskirts of the capital city of Kyiv.

PERHAPS?

MAYBE the dispersed units that made up the infamous 25 mile-long convoy are now awaiting arrival of the soldiers Vladimir Putin is bringing in from Syria.
