A student at Brigham Young University started a major fire in his dormitory while cooking up a batch of homemade rocket fuel

The fire in a dormitory kitchen triggered the dormitory sprinkler system flooding one floor and forcing 22 residents to evacuate

The fire was extinguished by the fire department

It is estimated that damages would be $100,000. It yet to be determined if the student will be criminally charged for the incident.

Most likely cooking up batch of "rocket candy" made by melting sugar with potassium nitrate (saltpeter) together

Rule of thumb.
YouTube tutorials aren't the way to go when making rocket fuel.

Also a quick question. While it's nice this wasn't another meth lab incident, is rocket fuel a better money making enterprise? Cause when you think of Start-Up's making rocket fuel I suspect it's a niche market.
