Bank run here in the Great White North.

www.thegatewaypundit.com...

Support Trump? No more access to money for you!

www.thegatewaypundit.com...

Get your cash out now. The very fact you have an account here at ATS is likely grounds in the near future to seize your assets; regardless if you support or oppose the cult's fascism.

I get the feeling my food storage is going to see some withdrawals in the near future. So buckle up butter cups and batten down your hatches, the world is Fabian Socialist Society hot and the hammer strikes have started to reshape the world closer to the desires of George Bernard Shaw's heart.

God speed fellow humans.

There's going to be lots more desperate people doing lots more desperate things in the hours, days, weeks, and months ahead.

This has been GenerationGap, over and bugging out.

This was started on 4chan.
Not even joking.
"How can we start a bank run?"
So it's gaining traction now?

How can we start a bank run? By seizing the funds of millions of honest people that simply desire self determination.

The hammers have begun to strike.

How did we get here?

We all know corporations run the world and if you seize assets then people will quit going to work. I doubt it happens.

A bank run would add support, or need, to digital currency. Digital currency will, of course, be horrible for the people, but a bank run would probably happen anyway.

A couple years ago, special rewards for banking whistleblowers were slipped into legislation. That was set up to help bring down the banks, and presumably give a need for digital currency. So, concerns about the banks having problems this year are probably good to have.

The damage from a bank run happens because they use fractional reserves. They don't carry all of the money, so they can't pay it all. What if they are running the gold sales the same way? What happens if there isn't enough actual gold to handle the withdrawals? I ask that because people will look to their gold if the banks get erratic.

Then, what happens if there's a run on wall street and everyone is trying to sell at the same time? Once there is a run on the banks, the dominoes will follow and we may end up with digital currency.
I wouldn't be surprised if the powers at be try to start a run on banks themselves. They want digital currency and they put bank whistleblower protections in legislation to help pave the way. Personally, I would attempt to withdraw my gold first, and I also think that I would have a very difficult time actually receiving my investment.

Banks cannot seize your money unless its part of a fraud investigation, at most they can write you a cashiers check for the amount and close the account.

Do you not follow the news? Go check out Canada and seizure of bank accounts, trucks and assets. Then come back to the thread. You have to live in a cave not to have seen the news.

They may not be seizing accounts, but it looks like the Emergency Act gives them the power to freeze them.

Trudeau's use of the Emergencies Act "essentially gives the government a lot more power that you just can't get away with in a democracy like Canada," Solomon said.

"The federal government now has powers to do things such as cancel insurance for any of these trucks if they don't go home. Cancel their license plates and registration. Freeze corporate accounts, as well," Solomon said.

Pretty much, what they can't do is to confiscate your money and not give it back ever unless it's the proceeds of crime.

Why would digital currency be horrible for the people? Why would the powers that be want a bank run?

I think it's super cute that folks think the account seizures will stay within the borders of Canada.

The US would never show solidarity with the great white dictator of the frozen north by seizing the funds of Americans, in America, that gave the truck terrorists financial support.

Seriously, it's really cute. 😏

What's the difference between freezing your accounts and rendering them useless indefinitely or seizing them?

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Correct banks cannot seize your money.

But we are not talking about banks seizing money.

We are talking about a Government freezing assets inside corporate accounts. That is entirely possible.

I normally have cash on hand, as much as a grand. I have a lot more security at my private piggy bank I call the "Serta Bank and Trust". Although I don't stuff my mattress, I do have an interesting stash spot.

There has been a few times my C.O.H. has saved my ass. I haven't had more than $50 on hand lately, almost enough to about fill one gas tank. I will be taking out more this paycheck.
