I just got off the phone with the love of my life, who I haven’t actually seen in over 30 years.

He is one of those truly honorable men that are rare. He could never lie to me, it was so cute when he tried a couple of times.

Our breakup years and years ago wasn’t because we didn’t love each other fully. We were young, and unfortunately our paths were different. We ran into each other a few times over the years but were on other paths then; me running away and him - I’m not really sure!

I worry about him now, he lives in a different state, and is alone. I hate that for him. He told me tonight that he regretted that there was so much wasted time.

He deserves to be happy! If he ever comes across this site I want him to know that he is Loved, and better times can still be had! We all have wasted time, but at least we experienced love! I’ll Always Love you Chuck!

I swear Im, not an emotional guy but I've got a couple of long-term lost loves that this makes me think about what could have been, hell what should have been. Don Henley's "Heart of the Matter" just reminds me of both of them. Im one of those I'll go all-in for as long as I can but once either one of us loses the loving feeling we are on borrowed time.

That said most times if a guy has had some real long-term relationship experience (20 plus years) and then finds himself alone it might be because he wants it that way.

That may be. What worries me is he kept saying he was worried about me, and thinks I should get a license to carry because of another man I lived with who I had problems with. Domestic violence to be exact, I had to go into hiding for half a year to stay safe. That was over 9-10 years ago.

I kept telling him it’s a non issue as he doesn’t bother me anymore. He was really adamant, and I don’t know why? He has undercover connections as far as I know.

So just in case! I don’t want him to have any regrets!
