The FAA has revoked his license, and determined that he deliberately crashed the plane.

From one of the OTHER videos on his page apparently someone found this




“recovered and then disposed of the wreckage,” the F.A.A. said.

“You demonstrated a lack of care, judgment and responsibility by choosing to jump out of an aircraft solely so you could record the footage of the crash,” the agency said. “Your egregious and intentional actions on these dates indicate that you presently lack the degree of care, judgment and responsibility required of a certificate holder.”

The FAA has no prosecutorial authority. The most they can do is levy fines.

They can do emergency revocations, happened to a friend of mine.

The FAA is rotten to the core, 15 months of violating its own rules, FAR 61.53

Yes, this event looks staged to me.

That's different than imposing jail time or other sentencing. Not that it isn't deserved, just that's not their scope.

However, I'm sure civil prosecution from varying authorities in California will be coming down the pipeline soon.

i remember reading this on ATS and today there has been an update

YouTuber Trevor Jacob admits to crashing plane for views


In a plea agreement, he said he filmed the video as part of a product sponsorship deal.


is there anything people wont do for clicks and views, which of course equals money......silly question I know
