We know the vaccination rates among Chicago teachers are high.

With an impending COVID-19 vaccination deadline for employees, unvaccinated Chicago Public Schools teachers and staffers will be able to opt for weekly testing and continue working after this week.

Still waiting on this herd immunity to kick in? Did vaccines kill that aspect. Anyway….

With the unvaccinated teachers being tested?

But. Yet.. The vaccinated teachers union is refusing in class learning?

Virtual 'walkout': Chicago teachers vote for remote learning; city cancels classes for most of its 330,000 students

If vaccine mandates work for safe and effective vaccines (that now requires four doses in less than a year to be effective which doesn’t seem effective), why is the Chicago teachers Union having a cow?

The mafia in charge of Chicago teachers (aka "The Teachers Union") wants another $1.9 Billion, or more, from Washington D.C., because they wasted the first $1.9 billion sent last year, that was supposed to be earmarked for "Covid-19 proofing" the classrooms.

Mob bosses told teachers to show great distress and fear, by voting to hold school via the internet...which is what they voted to do, yesterday.

Democrats in Congress/Biden Admin may send more than $2 billion to the Chicago school system this time.

New Orleans is playing the same game, using those students as pawns.

If masks are effective, why do you need to covid proof anything…. And billions of dollars?

Yes, if the vaccines really worked, and the masks really worked, then none of this would be necessary. But we all know the truth. None of it works for anything more than theater now. But regardless of all that, kids need to be in school. it's time for vouchers for education rather than the current system.

When private schools pop up and can offer much better choices, with much better leadership, and none of the teachers union tears, we can finally help the US education system improve. The local Christian school here is light years away from what the public school kids learn. And I believe a school that focused on trades and helping kids develop an aptitude for what they enjoy doing would be a great way to go. But first we need the choice for the kids to be there.

It's time to take this back.

eta:
and I firmly believe that the current Omicron variant will end the pandemic within a few weeks, by infecting and giving natural immunity to enough people that we no longer have issues. Which will make the 500 billion tests even more of a joke when they finally show up.

No, that doesn't sound particularly effective now, does it??

Just another example of the maxim--a person is smart, people are a stupid, easily lead herd for the most part.

They are collectively having a cow because they are behaving like an easily led herd. Any one who would willingly follow the piss poor leadership and complete lack of common sense of Lori Lightfoot deserves what they get. It’s time for “we the people” to take back our city’s.

Well... there's the fact that the vaccines do not work. To be vaccinated & still contract the virus is just proof the vaccines do not work....that's why they lay a new "variant" name to Covid. Because the vaccines do not work....where's all the crippled people who should have polio ? Their no where to be seen because that vaccine actually works. Mumps/Measles/Rubella...where's all these folks who have these dreaded 3. Non existent because those vaccines work. Covid is more about the CONTROL of the populace.

Because just like everything with the democrat party, it’s never about the issue at hand.....it’s about manipulation.
They’re making easy money and don’t want to go back to having to wear pants to work.

Hey everyone else gets to work from home if they want; why shouldn't teachers be able to do the same thing? Just wait untill the garbagemen start demanding to be able to work from home.

The teacher’s union may find parents don’t need them to educate their kids if they don’t get their asses back to work. There are many other options apart from public schools including online, home schooling or private. The public school teachers will make themselves redundant if they keep pushing parents.

Yes. Especially if , local to each other, parents band together to teach their kids in a small classroom setting .
So that one teaches more than just their own kids, so other parents are still able to work.
Schools would definitely not be needed anymore.

Do you think that the Union teachers care about that? The School Districts still get the money from the Government no matter what the parents do.

The Teacher's Unions own the Democratic Party. Why else do you think that they had an input to the CDC's decision?

I've seen interviews on a few sites where there is speculation that this will ultimately bring down the current education system. The people talking during the interviews feel that communities will start moving away from the public schools and go to smaller private (Almost One room schools) where their kids will get a more specialized education and not have to worry about much of the BS in Public Schools.

I would think some successful teachers would want to team up and do this and escape the union. They could in essence set their own salary and if they were good it could increase based on demand rather than how many years they have been teaching. It was an interesting idea and obviously seems more viable in smaller towns and rural areas at this time. With all of these small businesses failing in the bigger cities there will be some real estate available if some teachers want to swap them up.

IF the Democratic party ends up collapsing will the Teacher's Unions survive? I'm not in education so don't know enough about it.

Have you heard of the omicron variant? The spike proteins are nothing like the proteins on the native strains of the virus. That's why it evades the vaccine, and that's why it evades natural immunity. The vast majority of people on earth are going to catch Omicron in the next few weeks, which is completely unprecedented for a novel virus. Hopefully Omicron provides protection from future COV variants, but most likely there will be more and more mutations that cause reinfection forever more.

This brilliant and wise ahead of the curve content creator doesn't get too deep in this video, but if you still do not get what is going on with schools going virtual this might help.

The youtube channel is A Call For an Uprising. Channel name is misleading and he does not promote any violence or physical uprising. Highly recommend people watch and share his videos. He has a gift for reaching people who seem hopelessly lost.

NO they don't. If kids don't attend school the school doesn't get money. Money from the Government is based on attendance at the school.

My daughter left the public school system and is at a private school that is upping its pay to public levels as fast as their budget allows. She absolutely loves teaching there. Because the public school system forces teachers to coddle the worst kind of brats and private schools won't put up with brats.

Why did she leave? The straw that broke the camels back: She had a kid climb up on her desk behind her back, she turned around spotted him as he started to leap on another kid, and would have hurt the other kid. She grabbed the leaping kid midair. She was punished for grabbing the kid and had to go to training (for how to handle a situation without touching a child). She got a bad mark on her "record" for grabbing a kid forcefully. If the other kid had been injured she also would have been disciplined.

Why not get paid for "teaching" online. You don't have to deal with brats and violent out of control children that the teacher gets in trouble for disciplining. Online teaching resulted in many many uneducated children because their parents either didn't make them do it, or do it for them as returning to the classroom teachers have discovered. Also, I helped my grandchildren when they were locked out of their schools with their pitiful and truly awful minimalist education, that was not an education in any sense of the word, and they were in a top 100 in the nation school district. Welcome to liberal run education.

The more parents that truly homeschool or send kids to private schools, which is happening in record numbers, the less money the public schools get.

Know what I think?

To be totally transparent and honest about what is going on: The teachers love working from home and not having to face the out of control brats, it has nothing to do with COVID .

That is really the crux of why they are refusing to return to a classroom full of out of control sniveling brats raised in Chicago by uber liberal parents who think their children are as perfect as they think they themselves are; with administrators who punish teachers for trying to maintain discipline, a safe environment, and order.

Schools get paid per enrolled student; fewer students means less money.
If enough parents disenrolled their children from the public school system, major changes would have to be made. It can't happen soon enough, IMO.
