I've also always thought that people who type that they're drunk are saying that only to excuse them for saying somthing moronic. It's kind of an insurance in case someone says their post was brainless. "Dude! Don't blame me, I was drunk!"

I agree with you Lenina, and this greatly annoys me as well. Also, when I play games on the internet, people will be CONSTANTLY mentioning that they are drunk.

I've met a number of very good people online for the sole reason that they were totally smashed.

It's wrong to do, and dangerous, especially to relationships, but it's no different than being drunk with friends. Except, online, you can't pass out in the shower. If you sit down drunk, you ain't getting back up. You won't hurt yourself, just feelings.

Well I can't say I've never come home from the pub squiffy and then gone online but not very often and I'm never normally rude or obnoxious with it. I think when your merry you just feel more sociable so when you get home it's a natural thing to do, if I'm smashed I just haven't got the energy anyway.

To be honest the older I get the less I can cope with drink so I don't drink half as much these days, about twice a month. Just as well as my family is riddled with alcoholics.

Hell the amount of times i've gotten home in the early morning hours from being out to a pub or club. Usually Drunk, or something else which makes my mind not quite right...

You hop online coz your just not wuite ready to sleep, and whammo! theres a whole world of interesting conversation out there. Everyone knows that when your drunk you know 10 times more than anyone else (or you think you do) and how can you resist sharing this knowledge with others!

And as has been stated, better online than behind the wheel of a car... or a Semi Trailer...

it amazes me that anyone can be drunk and type ???... i know i couldnt ... i does one know what is the right key??? maybe they're not really drunk, and they just want to "act cool" like MARG said....:shk:

Eh, I type for a living. I type at about 70 to 80 wpm, know the keyboard pretty dern well, and even learned to type around 30 wpm with one hand a few months ago (not willingly ). I can type pretty dern tanked. Just have to hit backspace a lot because I miss the key by half a key and type 23 letters instead of one.

What's the deal with that!? It drives me nuts! For one, if your going to get drunk...don't you want to do something other than type on a computer? Two....why do they feel the need to tell everyone that they're drinking or drunk

I have never understood this and I see it a lot, not so much here, though I have seen it, but on other boards fairly often....don't they have something better to do than feel the need to tell everyone else they are drinking or that they're drunk.....what's the point, that can't be "fun".....what's fun about getting drunk and typing on a computer....you would certainly have nothing intelligent or relevant to add to any conversation in an state of mind!?
