This article on the MSN News page was only posted a couple hours ago.

Snippet:

"With this administration it is failure after failure after failure," Van Drew told host Trey Gowdy. "I cannot believe I'm saying this, it literally is time for this president to resign. It is time for this vice president to resign. It is time for the Senate president and Speaker to resign. We need new people, even new Democrats, hopefully that are moderates."

I really dont see how anyone can argue with this. If one is honest with themselves it has been one failure after another. It is really hard to deny that.

Of course both sides have to blame each other:

Biden and his predecessor blamed each other on Saturday for the collapse of Afghanistan, with Trump slamming Biden for not "following the plan" that he left and Biden accusing the former administration of signing a deal with the Taliban that left them "in the strongest position militarily since 2001."

Thing is blaming each others isnt going to change anything. Some action needs to be taken right away and sending 5,000, 6,000 troops in to put a bandage on it isnt going to work either. Truth be told, the Ball IS in Bidens court NOW.

I did see elsewhere in my travels tonight that Biden was going to open the border to quite a number of the refugees from this fall out. Can't seem to find my way back to it so that I can share that link as well. Not surprising though. Some have even speculated this was an actual part of this plan. (Shrug) who knows anymore.

All I DO know is that this really stinks for our men and women to have to go back because our leaders feel the need to play reindeer games. They also picked a fine time for vacation. As an American none of this sits well with me.

I will let you good people kick around the point of them having to step down or not. Or if they should at all.

If we had people in the House of Representatives and the Senate that really gave a crap about this country instead of lining their own pockets at every turn, they would impeach the entire lot of them immediately. But you can see what the chances of that happening are.

How far have all these clowns pushed this country into crushing national debt? And that STILL is not enough money for them?

It is far more likely that we will be saved by aliens from outside our galaxy landing and taking over.

IMHO.

They'll never find this to be their own fault, it's not the way of the democrat. Pushing blame and division is their only way.

Yeah. It is pathetic.

Those tax cuts really did a number on the deficit. But it did put a lot more money in the pockets of some, so who cares?

Big news though, a rep calls for resignations. Big deal and a rarity.

Why didn't the Military of Every Western/NATO countries just destroy the military equipment? this is a major embarrassment.

The Biden admin blames Trump yet Obama had four/8 years to do something in Afghanistan but didn't do nothing.

Yeah.

Finger pointing is big in Congress.

I suppose the previous administration would have done a much better job of withdrawal if they were still around though. No doubt. Like bailing on the Kurds in Syria.

I'm sorry....

Can you please tell me who the current Commander in Chief is?

The one in charge of our military right now?

The one who was in charge of this exodus from the field of battle while leaving all of our resources there for the enemy?

You know... the guy you voted for...

Can you even say it?

Biden is the CnC. No doubt. And the buck does indeed stop there.

Please excuse my musing.

Did the previous admin allow Afghanistan to be taken in 1 week?

Let me know how you feel....all the feelings.

Honestly....I couldn't care less....we have enough to worry about here in the US. Glass that craphole as far as I'm concerned...

Unless we have some reason to be there that anyone can point out.....screw em.

Did the previous admin allow Afghanistan to be taken in 1 week?

No. But then there is this:

Though the former President offered his support of President Joe Biden's plans to bring home American troops, he urged his successor to draw an end to America's longest war well before the September 11 deadline that Biden set last week. Trump said that while leaving Afghanistan is "a wonderful and positive thing to do," he had set a May 1 withdrawal deadline and added that "we should keep as close to that schedule as possible."

www.cnn.com...

I am confident that following Trump's timeline would have been less disruptive. No doubt in my mind.

The situation is/was a dire mess and hindsight is 20/20. Right?

Neat....so Biden has no clue and is following what his predecessor recommends?

Yay leadership!

Oh....wait....Biden left for a few weeks.

Let's go with Obamas plan and just send some cash...

I think Biden has at least as much clue as Trump did.

There was no easy way out. It had to happen and it was bound to be a disaster.

Trump should consider himself lucky he was voted out of office in this case. Now he can be a monday night quarterback like everyone else.

Situation has been a mess for a long time.

Can you tell me why we are there?

Screw them and their country....if you live there and have for the last 2 decades....you are stupid....seriously...stupid.

I'm tired of my tax dollars being spent on idiocy. I'm tired of our armed forces dying for stupidity. Let them have it.

Unless there is a good reason to be there....get out.

Biden has no clue about anything. He is a complete bumbling fool.

Sure....the easy way out would have been to leave....if they can get 5K troops IN within 24 hours....they can get 5k people OUT in the same time frame.

Why are we fighting other people's wars? Does Afghanistan give us anything in return? Have they in the last 20 years?

Worthless people...absolutely worthless....

It's hard to put a couple trillion a year into black ops if you don't have Afghanistan's poppy fields.

We've been there since the 60's making sure the flow keeps going...

But now we have Fentanyl... a synthetic drug.

Which China makes a lot of.

So we don't need opium anymore.

Get as many "innocents" out and rebuild.

This isn't rocket science...it is war.

You don't seem to understand... the people currently running this country do not now and never have given two phucks about human lives.

A friend of mine shared me a link to the live feeds over there... currently a lot of beheadings going on, public rapes and stonings of women, children getting their throats cut.

Or in one case, a young boy just beaten to death.

I couldn't watch it for very long.

I wouldn't recommend it.

The current administration could have made that not happen.

But they did.

Because they really don't care.

At all.

As far as I know, they actually get a kick out of it.

And here we are... with them in charge.
