Fiction?
Yeah, a little:

United States Centennial is a novel by American author James A. Michener, published in 1974.[1] It traces the history of the plains of north-east Colorado from prehistory until the early 1970s. Geographic details about the fictional town of Centennial and its surroundings indicate that the region is in modern Weld County.

Yeah. I was just reading what the Colorado Virtual Library has on it. The History Behind the Fiction: James Michener’s "Centennial"
I read the book and watched the series. I don't remember much of it though. I read the Reader's Digest condensed version of Hawaii. I remember a slight bit more of that.
