I finally remembered an appropriate story for this thread.

This one time I started bar hopping at 7:00am and by about 11:00pm I was in the mood to try something different.

So I bought a condom and went to a certain bar. I can't say that I gave the woman $10.00 because where I was only certain licensed establishments were allowed by law to handle U.S. currency. As far as I know there may be no statute of limitations there.

So we got to her little place upstairs and she was ready and I was ready. But then when I went to apply the condom, I suddenly wasn't as ready any more. Then I made excuses and stuff so that she wouldn't have her feelings hurt. I bought her a beer and then she seemed better emotionally.

Then a couple of days later, when I asked the doctor if there was some way to induce a latex fetish to prevent something like that from happening again, well the doctor wasn't any help.

If I've learned one thing in my years of dating successes and failures, it's this: beautiful women are not rare. It's us men that put beauty on a pedestal. TV shows, Social Media, etc. In the Western world, 'beautiful' women are not encouraged by our society to work on their personalities or obtain personal growth because they don't need to in order to succeed. But what happens after the beauty fades?

I would add this, however,: Paying to be around beautiful women is valuable for men with little experience in that it teaches that beauty isn't that big of a deal once you get used to being around it. You begin valuing character traits over looks.

This is a really profound point. And a great question. WHY does a man want to date a pretty woman? Because they have chemistry? Or because he wants the validation of being seen by others with a pretty woman? So many sub-conscious factors come into play.

Very right.
Hopefully some realize that just because she might be a beautiful woman, it doesn't mean she is actually a good person.

It's a funny standard...
You see a handsome guy with an unattractive woman...and people assume HE is a great guy.
You see a beautiful woman with an unattractive man...and people assume HE is rich or has a huge you-know-what.

As horrific as this suggestion might be, if you want to see what I'm talking about in the OP...just watch Housewives of Orange County...as long as you can before vomiting.

Why this show? Well, because it's a bunch of wannabe former hotties, past their prime, trying to stay relevant with their rich husbands who are clearly growing tired of their BS...and all the makeup and plastic surgery in the world won't change this fact. It's both sad and laughable at the same time.

Oh sure, all the fake drama, all the innuendo, but they all agreed to that. That's just how vain they all are.

Almost all of them have been through several marriages.

Whatever, I just found it intriguing.

I know this guy who dated a porn star...back when he was single.
He didn't know she was one...until she told him over dinner.
He didn't watch porn videos so he didn't know who she was...just thought she was a smart, funny and attractive woman with a very nice figure.

To this day, he's never viewed any of her films.
