lol is that a thing?

Yeah, in some places you don't get a fork and knife, you get a pair of shears so you can do your own pizza al taglio.

Wait, isn't al taglio rectangular? How does this work, do you get a round pizza or a rectangular bigger one that you then cut?

Typically, but it means 'cut pizza'. When you go for pizza at lunch time it's usually the square one sold by weight at dinner time it's a whole pie which is almost always uncut so you knife and fork it or use shears.

I know these, roman style. Just never encountered the shears. The places I roamed were more for partying and tanning, today, not being 18 but almost double the age, I would rent a car and go to see the beauty of the country without a fixed hotel and just see where it takes us. Less liquor, more culture.

Very interesting.

Try a pepperoni, pineapple and jalapeño pizza.

Pepperonis actually compliments pineapple better than Canadian bacon.

Almost this, but bell peppers instead of jalepenos.

And yes, tabasco is good on pizza. Have fun discovering all the other combinations that are going to appeal to you!

Speaking of pizza, you should have seen my friends the first time they had pizza in Italy and it came uncut with a pair of shears on the side.

That's actually genius. I can cut out the best parts for myself.
