In less than 30 minutes you'll have white minivans, black suburban SUVs and plenty of men in black, soldiers and Hazmat dudes taking you plus the whole thing, your phone, computer and you'll reappear naked in another location 3 days later.

Reminds me of my last trip to Vegas.

It belongs to their relatives.

I would fence it off an leave it be. Could be a Pandora's box.

If the alien dies, the ship goes for sale to pay for any damages.

Excellent question to initiate the Discussion as to the creation of policies related to Disclosure.

Thank you! My own unique sense of humor must've turned this thread into a comedy show, unfortunately.

On a serious note: I'm certain there has to be some kind of logistics plan somewhere within the gilded walls of the DoD?

I agree w that on all levels. Hard part would be hiding it from the Crash Retrieval Team triangulating on it and fast.

NORAD would have your location and be there quicker than Amazon Prime.

The Fire Officer's Guide To Disaster Control

CHAPTER 13: ENEMY ATTACK AND UFO POTENTIAL

(Even though it was not viewed as an “official” training manual, a training manual nevertheless.)

WARNING "Near approaches of UFOs can be harmful to human beings.Do not stand under a UFO that is hovering at low altitude. Do not touch or attempt to touch a UFO that has landed. In either case the safe thing to do is to get away from there very quickly and let the military take over. There is a possibility of radiation danger and there are known cases where persons have been burned by rays emanating from UFOs. Don't take chances with UFOs!

“In view of the federal law (cited earlier) empowering NASA's
administrator to impound, without a hearing, anyone who touches a UFO
or its occupants. it would be inadvisable to make personal contact
unless you are willing to submit to NASA's quarantine requirements,
should the law be invoked.”.....

Federal Law!

“ interest in UFOs was greatly heightened when Congress in 1969 adopted a law (14 CFR Ch. V Part 1211--Extraterrestrial Exposure) which gave the NASA Administrator the arbitrary discretion to quarantine under armed guard any object, person, or other form of life which has been extraterrestrially exposed.”

The law explained in wiki. en.m.wikipedia.org...

The one with the biggest gun.

Seriously, I believe it would go to a government organization of one sort or another.

It obviously belongs to the alien in question or at least (if it where some rental/lease/loan/governmental) be held accountable for it.

Aliens better learn to fly.
Express some advancedness ... Be above human and not crash your ship at the end of a long trip.
If you're that interested in our planet then pay some # attention and have a little respect.
Jeez.

Maybey there should be some kind of insurance for aliens if their ship crashes.
I bet Lloyds already offers one. Or at least should start to think about offering aliens an earth visit or stay insurance policy.

Money to be made here.

Oh by the way.....who below is better prepared for decontamination protocols?

The Air Force or the nonchalant SpaceX?

Let’s face it....alien microbes survive re-entry hitching a ride on water landing capsules and have made a life for themselves in our oceans....I’m just saying...

Ehhhhh ?

So, NORAD does deliveries faster than Amazon Prime ?

Do I need to wear, like sunscreen, when NORAD delivers a "package" ?

If I remember right, the Admerality Laws say that any abandoned craft becomes owned by the state it becomes embedded in the coast of. New York tried to ram a huge barge of garbage into Floridia years ago to make it their problem according to those laws.

Being that any surface might be considered the coast to a space ship, it could be argued that the Admiltry Laws apply because they are specifically made for international shipping.

The real question is, do you have enough money to fight off any governmental legal claims no matter what laws they try to use. That is if you don’t just disappear along with the ship.

Why assume that it has "crashed"?

How likely is it that any civilization that could traverse the vast distances of interstellar space, with all its adjacent threats and dangers, would produce a vehicle that would "crash" on a distant planet?

Do not judge by human standards that, which by definition, is NOT human!

Should one encounter a "craft" one suspects is of an origin not of Earth, remember the old adage:

"Beware 'Greeks' (or Aliens) bearing gifts!"

Nicely said Mantiss2021.

"Beware 'Greeks' (or Aliens) bearing gifts!"

"Oh look a crashed UFO! Nobody is looking . . . . " -- American Military.

I wonder, could the American military industrial complex resist the temptation for that exotic technology? If they didn't walk away, the flying saucer's AI might already be in the "system".

"We will just leave this here." -- The aliens.

Wouldn't you have dogs sniff it first to ensure the craft isn't booby-trapped, or emitting Covid-19 rays?

It belongs to the space explorers that sent it, specially if they send their version of a Destroyer or Carrier class spaceship to retrieve it.
