Federal bailout?
Really?
It's about people who normally only expect to see maybe one day under 40 looking at their temps under 10 degrees, seeing 4 to 5 inches of snow on the ground, their power grid crashed, they don't have the housing or clothing for such things, etc., and you have an entire state like that.

Like healthcare? Nobody plans on getting cancer, but in America it's usually a bankrupting situation.

This is an obvious attempt at trying to paint our nation as socialist and to espouse how good "socialism" is.
An epic failure, in my humble opinion.

A federal bailout for a 6 hour blackout? What are you smoking?
Any long term Texan knows February is no joke and it gets cold. Also any Texan knows that the weather here can change on a dime, if you aren't prepared for that it's on you, not a government entity or the power company.
Maintain your homes. Insulate. Seal up your doors and windows and be prepared for the yearly cold spell. Sub freezing temps in Texas are not even close to uncommon. And yes... every few years... it gets really really cold.
It's cyclic and been this way for decades.
This is all standard stuff.
It's like come spring time, people around here seem to forget that it's storm season.
The government doesn't need to intervene, people need to wise up, secure their homes, and learn about the patterns in their environment.
