Remember lots of what people have to say is sarcasm. That makes this site fairly unique.

If someone says something you think is totally outlandish, it is probably sarcasm.
Normally you can tell if you know it happens.

Watch out taking what Augustus has to say to heart, best not to try and take him on until you get used to his style.

BTW, I use a lot of sarcasm and think it is fairly obvious. My signature is an example.

Welcome to the wacky world of ATS. It isn't shutting at all, persons [so far] unknown have bought the site, are a fan of the site and, I believe, carrying on as is.

Things can get pretty het up in here, especially in the Mud Pit but truth be told we have a decent community here. 99% of posters post from a place of intelligence (maybe not 100% of the time, of course, myself included) and we have folk from all over the world (Scotland myself).
