FBI Looking for Armored Military Humvee Stolen from National Guard Facility

The agency added that the vehicle was “up-armored,” meaning it had been outfitted to become a combat vehicle, KABC reported.

Hmmm....now why do you think the California NG would be upgrading their Humvee to become a combat vehicle? And stolen in broad daylight....even more interesting.

Sure they are.

Does the FBI not know that we know?

This has gone beyond being a joke.

They are inept.

They are liars.

They are manipulative.

Can any arm of the government do their damn job without #ing up? Just once.

"NG lost equipment."

One week later.

"Trump supporter slaughters innocents in home made armored vehicle."

None of this should come as a surprise.

HMMWVs are not secured. They don't require a key to start and motorpools are always the most secure places.

Uparmored HMMWVs are just as available as those without armor. No conspiracy there.

# is always getting stolen on base. Rarely is it a vehicle but it does happen.

They will probably drive it through the side of the white house wearing red hats.
I'm sure they have plans with it, when they take the time to make a news report about it.
Sounds like a good false flag.

I really can’t get into military vehicles and equipment etc. but I will say this. Vehicles are often upgraded in many industries to modernize and meet the demands of the organization. If a model is a new standard it wouldn’t be abnormal for the organization to upgrade to the new standard. It’s no different than upgrading vehicles for a shipment organization or upgrading planes to keep up with current technology.

I bet whomever took it knew where it was stored, the procedure to acquire it, and if it is very new they may be in for a rude awakening.

Sometimes logbooks get messed up too and they get misplaced in details, maintenance and other assignments.

I’m willing to bet someone in the organization dropped the ball rather than going in and stealing the thing.

I guess they don't follow public service announcements.

You don't need a key to start and drive off with an HMMWV.

The FBI stole it themselves. Keep up.

But do you need clearance to open doors and gates at the motorpool?

Or can the general public come through?

Not a jab at you.

There has to be evidence left behind. They aren't something you can walk out with in your pocket.

Was it being delivered somewhere for upgrades and never arrived?

If that were the case, I'd imagine they would have stolen one a little closer to DC...

Motor pools are supposed to be secured but it’s also an up armor. So if you can get in it and get the vehicle going, it’s going to drive right through and over stuff.

I’m willing to bet it’s sitting somewhere it isn’t supposed to be and an E5 or below, probably an E4 is about to really hate life pretty soon.

Meh, depends on what you mean by clearance.

Just about anyone with a proper uniform and a CAC can dispatch a vehicle and drive it off base.

That's probably closer to the truth in my experience.

I'm doubting the "stolen" part. Most likely an undercover fbi agent took it and just said if asked just say it was stolen.

The fbi is investigating a missing humvee.

The pentagon is missing billions of dollars.... crickets

Besides, this is California...it’s probably already in Mexico and parted out.

Well, I was going to say, No worries people! The FBI is on the case!
A)It will never be found.
B) It will be found by police officers at a mall or something, but the FBI will say Russians stole it!!!!
