Thirteen Years

I came upon ATS 13 years ago today. I basically grew up here as my internet home. I was a 23 year old kid when I joined, I'm 36 now.

In 13 years I have learned quite a bit about how to sift through BS, how to comprehend complex topics, how to debate, and I learned the importance of field testing my ideas.

ATS has helped me grow as a person, as a writer, and has deepened my understanding of my fellow humans, certainly the ones here.

Here's to another 13 years.

Spoken like a wise young man. Knowledge brings peace and fulfillment. And what a ride it is finding truths in this crazy world!

Personally, it took me over 40 years to come back full circle to the basic truths I was gifted as a child. I pray you have a smoother time of it!

I learned the importance of never hitting a "send" button until considering what I have written. Not just here.

I probably post/send about 10% of the time and the rest was just notes for thinking.

While we haven't always agreed on posts or opinions I would take someone with your conviction over a mindless drone any day so hopefully we all have another 13 years to disagree.

I honestly wouldn't have stuck around this long if not for the debates and sometimes outright fights.
