A few years back , here in Washington State, a similar thing happened. That time it was this art group that claimed that they did it, I bet it was not only the same people behind this event, but also I bet it is the same monolith that was used.

Just wanted to add a link, and yes I know it is a WIKI link, but I'm not going to waste a ton of time on a artsy HOAX. Here is the link

You could be on to something here.

Mysterious monolith materializes..

It didn't stand for long. Sometime during the wee hours of January 3, the monolith disappeared as mysteriously as it had arrived. All that remained was a hole containing a concrete platform, used to anchor the obelisk. In place of the monolith lay a single red rose, its stem snapped in two.

Perhaps a copy cat, or they polished up the same one and planted it elsewhere.

Lol!

Also, notice the bird head. Enemy of the cat God, noted lover of shiny objects.

Wonder how close it is to Skinwalker Ranch? Maybe it is the source of the weirdness there.

Aluminum and wouldn't weigh that much being about 10 ft long. I'd say hoax especially if no one is allowed to inspect it

Obviously something that was buried by an ancient civilization when that area was ocean.

That’s the only rational explanation.

Judging from the on pic, I see a guy probably 6ft tall , and the obelisk looks about the same. Its probably aluminu

Go to the end of the video....one guy in on the others shoulders and he can just see over the top....my guess is 10 ft tall.

About 10-11 feet tall. One guy stood on the shoulders of another to peer at the top.

I joined ATS in March, it’s awesome to finally be part of a real original style ATS thread. This made my night. Let’s put all of the other differences aside and let’s discuss this!

What about a big magnet? Pull it out of the ground.

But for God's sake don't use the losers from Oak Island.

Great OP, S&F.

Made some pano's from screen caps to get a better feel for the place.

The holes in the walls are interesting. That is about all I have noticed so far. I haven't done a close inspection of the images yet.

ETA- Does this canyon flood every year? Looks like it might.

If so, it may have only been there for one season. The waters would wash away any evidence of installation.
