Nazi era germany forced the wearing of the Judenstern (Jewish Star) upon its jewish population much like we are being forced to wear masks. It’s not a choice. It has become “lawful orders”. And well, we all know what ultimately happened to the jewish during the 1940s in germany. Those that refused to wear the Judenstern were faced with death.

During that time, it was by shooting. During our times, since we have some laws still protecting us against that(for now), those that refuse to wear masks are sentenced to death by having your most basic needs essentially cut off since, here in Washington, businesses are required to refuse service to anyone not wearing a mask. Some say “it’s just a mask. You’re showing you care about people by wearing it. You should be proud to wear it”. I’m sure back in nazi germany those same people would say “its just a symbol of your religion, you should be proud to wear it”. The point is, it is something that should not be enforced by law. It should be a choice.

When you are forced to wear something that segregates you from your community and the very very many people who have views like mine, the reasoning for why it is forced becomes quite clear. To seperate those will openly rebel against unlawful orders vs the ones who blindly follow like sheep. Many people have their ways to protest. Many like to be loud and vocal. Sometimes violent. Many will ignore these orders as a form of non-confrontational silent protest. I take the latter path. I will not wear a mask, and hope others follow my lead when they see me not doing so and forego the mask requirement as well(unless of course they are on a high risk category and feel they need it).

It’s a form of segregation. Something we “abolished”, is now making its way back into society, just in a new form. We’re segregating libertarians from everyone else. Libertarians are the greatest threat to both the entire Left/Right system as a whole, since they only care about actual freedom while maintiaining a functioning and fair government.

I know many of you will say i am over reaching with my comparisons. But honestly, it’s just how i see it. There are many parallels. Many local governments are fight back against the fed gov by imposing fascist type mandates. At least where i am at anyway. Fortunatey in my area, local law enforcement has stated they will not enforce it, as they see it to be a violation of constitutional and civil rights.

I don't want to wear a mask just like the next person, but honestly I've decided to wear it when i go to large public areas such as walmart or any other closed in place. I'm required by my work to wear one, but honestly I deal with tourists on a daily basis and most of them aren't wearing masks and probably came from states that had high rates of covid19.

I live in FL, and I'm not for locking down the entire state, but if that's the case then people need to just deal with wearing a mask until we can get the transmission rates back down.

Bring the civil rights lawsuits.

Except that the mask orders typically apply to Everyone, whereas the Star of David symbol imposed by the Nazi’s only applied to the Jews... as a means to identify them for discrimination.

Seems like you are trying very hard to “play the victim card” with regard to matter.

When, in fact, the very intent of the mask orders is to minimize the total number of victims.

Grow up. Suck it up.

And wear the damn mask!

Yea except the jews were forced to wear badges, not just prevented from community areas. It was also based on religion, not health concerns.

Wearing a mask is also loosely enforced in most areas.

Its not about safe...
Its about control!

I with you! I will not wear a mask. Here you get a $250 fine for not wearing one. I don't wear one and have not been fined as of yet.

Look at all the countries that have mandated masks in the past. They are either communist or socialist countries.

You missed the point then. My point is it is kind of an opposite reaction here. Those not wearing a mask are the ones shunned. Labelled an outcast from society. Your response proves my point.

If by terrofied you mean that i am terrified about how many people will willingly give up their freedoms because of something that will likely not affect them nor anyone they know in a life threatening manner, then yes. Sure, im terrified.

Bit more severe penalties in washington state. I still refuse. My whole thing is, people would be more willing to do it of they werent forced to. Since they are forced to, it’s become a sign of rebellion. The way they go about it reminds me of basic training. “One person doesnt listen, i’ll punish all of you.”

Just do what a lot of us are doing and don't wear a mask, then. I know some middle finger sign language to help me communicate a rebuttal against any grievances I encounter publicly from my lack of adherence to the virtue signal du jour... although I honestly have yet to run into anyone with large enough balls to comment about my lack of a mask.

Would be nice if people could avoid you. You sound like a real jerk. "Sorry, your health is not worth my mild inconvenience." I love reading stories about how people like you catch it and cry about the jerks they were. No sympathy for jokers like you. I only wish hospitals were allowed to refuse service to people like you.

And you missed MY point.

If you Choose not to wear a mask in public, that is your choice to “play the victim”.

For your analogy to have made sense, the Nazi’s would have had to make everyone wear the Star, and those non-Jews who refused would be the ones punished.

You understand how ridiculous that is?

And therefore, how illogical your premise is as well?

We should just make the pedos in the government wear a giant P tattoo on their foreheads
We could skip the whole fake small business disease and government funded blm through corporations.

That is what i have been doing. But with the new mandates, i’m curious to see how things will play out, with businesses being forced by law to refuse service, will they still be lax or no? When you can no longer buy daily necessities becauae you refuse, the government is essentially starving you to death until you comply

Well you live in a good area. with everything thats going on right now. I cant see law enforcement actually enforcing this though.

I think with the stores and shops that I have been to lately only one has enforced the policy, I dont know that many people care? and I just wear the bandana and I dont even wear it over my face. I can just be like opps it slips down.

For what it's worth, if you're just among those of us who aren't interested in breathing our own hot air back in, a single layer Buff meets the specifics of the facial covering mandate and, honestly, you can't even tell your mouth and nose are covered when you breath through one. I carry a skull Buff with me for convenience if a store is demanding one be worn. Example, had to pick up a couple of things from Guitar Center this weekend and they require a mask... skull Buff met the requirement and my air was cool and frosty.

I honestly don't know why we're not seeing a lot more Buffs being worn.

People can avoid me. I work nights. Have minimal interaction with most anyone. Live in a county with no active cases. Havent been any active cases in quite some time now. I can guarantee you the local hospitals in a 50 mile radius are nowhere even near 20% capacity.

At the end of last week, my supervisor decided to be a mask fascist and tell me that I have to wear a mask at all times unless I'm in my own home. It pisses me off because I'm going to be one of the only people in my workplace wearing one... Aside from my supervisor, of course.
