I am sure most of you have heard of the old cartoon called "The Smurfs" well I was watching some old episodes the other day and I realized something, The smirfs wear hats that look just like the KKK's hats, I thought this was just a silly thing untill I saw pappa smurf (the leader of the smurfs) and noticed he was wearing a red pointed hat, just like the leader of the KKK, I mean is this all just coincidence or is the smurfs promoting the KKK?
Another thing, how they are always trying to keep outsiders out of there villiage, the same way the KKK would like to see black people out of "there villiage" AKA America, I mean this is just to many coincidences so I think that the smurfs show is promoting the KKK to children, it teaches them that Change is bad, there is one supream race, to keep outsiders (other races) away from you, I would like some follow up on this, and also that guy that the smurfs hate, the one with the black cat, take notice, the guy wears a black robe and his cat is black, does that guy and his cat represent the black race?

-Follow Up Please

Gargamel's cat was named Azriel, which has enormous occlut signifigance, and the creator of the smurfs was a practiced satanist who admitted that he had worked alot of esoteric material into the cartoon series, while also having a go at communism, which is why 'pappa' smurf wears a red hat. I read a great piece on this a while back, but yeah the smurfs weren't ordinary.
Edit: Dont forget the mushroom houses

The Smurfs, a Belgian creation, is obviously a mind control device designed to enslave humanity in the New (Belgian) World Order.

This is the most stupid conspiracy I've ever heard of. The smurfs must have been promoting drug use cause they lived in mushrooms,

I always wondered who smurfed Smurfette to make Baby Smurf... Given the tyke's magical talents, I'm going to go with Papa Smurf (after all, it's right in the name, isn't it?)

Smurfs & KKK?

man, i loved this cartoon when i was a little!
but first there were smurf comics!
i still have some figures at home.
ever thought why there are 100 smurfs and just one smurfette?

ok here is what i found on this topic:

Smurfs: Aryan Puppets

These factors make it hard to believe the shows writer and creator Peyo, A.K.A. Pierre Cullimore, who passed away in 1992 at the age of 64, was found to be a Nazi and affiliated with the Klu Klux Klan. Looking at different aspects of the cartoon itself, perhaps it isn't so unbelievable.
In retrospect, some visual aspects of the show and even story lines show the creator's connection with Ku Klux Klan. The Klan is an organization of white supremacists who believe white people are the master race. (Webmaster Note: Or some such nonsense. I'll I know for sure is that they wear white bed sheets, silly, pointy hats, and are ignorant in a dangerous way.) The village was headed by Papa Smurf, a red-hat-wearing leader amongst the white-pointed-hat-wearing group. Pointy-hatted Blue Devils? Similarly, the leader of the K.K.K.(known as the Grand Dragon) wears a pointy red hat. In one episode, the Smurfs had an evil spell cast upon them. When they were black in colour, they were suddenly bad. There were also many episodes where they danced around fires much like one of the K.K.K's traditional rituals.

Further "Nazi" influences can be seen in both the names and appearances of some of the characters. The villain of the story, Gargamel, was a man who bore resemblance to a parody of a stereo-typical Jewish man with dark hair and prominent features.Gargamel gets it again. He lived in a big old house that was unkept. He himself seemed unclean. His name descends from a German Jewish heritage as does the name of his cat Azrael. In Jewish mythology Azrael is the angel who separates the soul from the body at death. Among the Smurfs themselves there is only one female, with strangely Aryan features most prominently displayed by her long blond hair. In Nazi ideology this is a Caucasian gentile, especially one of Nordic stock. Hitler carried the belief that the Aryans possessed the ideal "look" for a Nazi.

The Smurfs Shrooms Connection

1. Reverse the spelling of Smurfs and you get SFRUMS.
2. Remove the top line off of the F and place it to the right of the letter. (SHRUMS)
3. Now, pronounce the U as a long U (like the U sounds in the word prune), This is the same sound as the OO sound in words like broom: SHROOMS

but that just works in english language.
would explain why there are large mushrooms all over the place!

They do not. If anything the smurf hats look like phyrigian caps. The KKK don't wear hats, they were big hood that point up and cover their face.

, I mean is this all just coincidence or is the smurfs promoting the KKK?

Yes. The smurfs are promoting the kkk. By having the hats and the red hat leader, they are brainwashing people into joining the kkk.

does that guy and his cat represent the black race?

He's a white guy. And his name is gargamel. The smurfs are protected by 'outsiders' that are the same colour as him. Gargamel wants the smurfs because he can use them in his magic potions, because he is a wizard. The smurfs don't want to get ground up into smurf powder. This is a kids cartoon. The plot is fairly straightforward.

Apparently you haven't heard the 'Biggy Smalls and Tupac Shakur are training communist gureillas in Cuba' conspiracy.

I always wondered who smurfed Smurfette to make Baby Smurf

You don't have to smurf a smurf to make more smurfs. I'm not even sure that smurfs can smurf, but I do know that they like to go into the forest and smurf till they're purple and all smurfed out. Anyway, gargamel created Smurfette. Smurfs don't smurf to make more smurfs, new smurfs simply show up.

Not for nothing, but the 'aryan smurf' page cut and paste above, its from here
www.evl.uic.edu...

WARNING: This essay is based on UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOUR. At least, I can't find anything on the Web that connects Peyo to the Klu Klux Klan.

It also says its from some dumb kids essay for 11th grade.

As this page reveals, they're actually commies!

this is the part where there is usually one of those 'rolling eyes' thingys.

The Smurfs is not the only cartoon to promote or mantion the KKK. As in the Simpsons Bart and lisa are at itchy and scratcy land and there is a clam with a KKK head and they call it the Klu Klux Klan which then Bart says IOt kinda got worn out

papa smurf fired the shot which killed john kennedy - but it's ok, cos he was in a drug filled fantasy at the time which saw maralyn monroe pilot the first fake moon landings on pluto

There wasn't much message in the show, it was usually the same exact story every episode, too. No major mindwarp conspiracy, just a lot of fun possible symbols to play with for older/drugged viewers.

The Smurfs were created around the same time as Dungeons and Dragons. It was a trend in entertainment-=- fantasy. It always will be, and it will most often include magic and occult elements.

I am just going to guess that those so convinced of the great Smurf conspiracy haven't tried their hands at cartooning or animation. Its just easier to make 100 of the same guy and give them a few cut out props to define their personalities. Rather than creating a rich fantasyland backdrop for every episode, it was probably easier to have the mushroom village.

Smurfette being the only girl...I see that as major laziness or lack of ideas. And while I'm at it, I will addres Vanity's apparent flamboyant homosexuality.
Well, his prop was a mirror, and he was a narcissist (though, like all of the other Smurfs, Vanity was in love with Smurfette too), sadly they didn't seem too concerned about character development. I would have liked it if there was a "coming out" episode for Vanity (and any other gay) Smurf...

Point is, if the Smurfs were a conspiracy, what exactly did this oh so thought out and sneaky plot accomplish?? Not much more than some fun, albeit mildly annoying, mindless entertainment for kids and potheads alike.

Pappa Smurf was Grand Dragon of the Smurf Klux Klan. Wasn't the cat named Azriel. He was the numb black guy who fights for his master despite his own abuse and master's failure. Smurfette was the emblem of white power. I remember when Pappa Surf raised his hand and waved the white flag at the cat when it fell.

its obvious that this show is linked to the kkk some way. Why else would they have soo many connections to kkk traditions?
