Looks like the time has come..
www.foxnews.com...

U.S. whistleblower laws exist to protect the identity and careers of people who bring forward accusations of wrongdoing by government officials. Lawmakers in both parties have historically backed those protections.

Looks like we will get to see if the whistleblower is actually an official whistleblower.

This news combined with the Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz video released yesterday, impending release of report and Dec. 11 congressional testimony it is looking like we may have the storm upon us.

The whistleblower protection act only protects the person's name from being divulged by the Inspector General - period. There is no restriction on anyone else. None.

Why the Republicans are playing this stupid game of not releasing the name is beyond me. All of these so-called protectors are either trying to hide the fact that this person is who everyone else in the world knows, or the "real" WB doesn't even exist except in Schiff's delusional mind. My guess is the former, I don't believe Schiff is smart enough to pull off the latter.

What I don't understand is why among so many lawyers in congress, not one of them has actually mentioned the WPA fact that I mentioned above until today. I saw one of the afternoon representatives showing the text of the act during the hearing. Maybe someone finally had the guts to say it.

I agree Hal, there seems to be many items/issues untouched by the Republicans. They are either playing dumb or leaving more sensitive topics for later in the game. I hope they are holding their cards, I would hate to think it is all of them(congress) working together against the people.

This is to find out who leaked the classified info to the whistleblower, right?
That is illegal?

I'm guessing the FBI is more interested in Ciaramella's dealings, with the Bidens and Burisma... I doubt this has anything to do with the Schiff Show in Congress.

Odd that this comes out at the same time, as news of Burisma's head honcho being indicted in Ukraine... money laundering, of all things...

I bet the FBI has already interviewed Eric the 2nd-person Whistleblower. Hopefully he flipped on leaker Vindman, which is why he was so nervous at yesterday's impeachment hearing.

I am hoping this is a change in the wind, that is to say the Mueller/Schifftt/Pelosi/Schumer et al... show over the last 3 years has ended and the storm is upon us. Payback is a bi%@#!!
We will find out soon, finally! At least I hope so, it's been hard keeping the faith that justice will prevail however I have made it this far.

That is what I deduced.

Holding all the cards until the "right moment" seems to backfire on the Reps a lot. I am skeptical because I've been disappointed greatly by the lack of intestinal fortitude on the Right. We know why a lot of Dems are in lock-step, they are desperately trying to change our country into a socialist/communist state. But why Reps are so incredibly timid is beyond me. Our founders weren't stopped by the fear of retribution or death, they were brave enough to defy England to make a better nation. Many of them paid with their lives after the Constitution was signed, but that dedication to do what's right seems to elude them these days.

Well said.
First of all the congressmen and women get paid a lot more these days, but seriously I am hoping that things are different now that Trump"the disrupter" is in town.

Let us allow this to unfold, we know the first reports are usually just the beginning of the story. If we all want the truth to come out than we can agree that this is a good first step, Schiff(D) is out of the picture now and so is Nunes(R). Let's see what comes of this shall we

Ah... because it is now being investigated by the FBI! Not sure if any congressmen or women will be able to influence the process now.
Let's not bicker, we can agree to agree or agree to disagree.a reply to: Gryphon66

I’m not bickering Fringe. I understand now that you think the ... impeachment is being investigated somehow.

Thanks.

Thanks Gryphon, I have seen many posts by you and I have seen many compliments...well deserved. Ultimately I may disagree with you on this one. I do feel that this"whistleblower" is more of a disgruntled employee at best and a Brenner stooge at worst.Time will tell.
