I am thinking the op is correct, this investigation made it so the Democrats had to start the impeachment hearing to try to hide the results of the justice investigations from most of the public eyes, to make it look like the investigation was started because of the impeachment hearing when in actuality the impeachment hearings were started to lessen the impact of the results of Barr's investigation

A bad attempt by the Democrats to make people believe something that is the opposite of what is reality. The Dems have lots of hired mouthpieces out there disturbing the truth from being believed at many of the social media sites around the country. The republicans do not really need to do that, republicans are conservative and their followers do not need to be paid to combat lies and deceit.

Going by that list it seems it has been pretty common practice for low level politicians to be convicted of crimes going back decades. Not sure what point you were trying to make with that to be honest.

I think you are correct, the Dem's playbook is all
smoke and mirrors. Even Crossfire Hurricane was
named after some "actors".

The Republicans however are armed to the
