I remember the hot mic incident before the 2012 election. Obama did say he would be able to do more regarding Russia after he won. So, just trying to figure out timelines to understand how we all arrived where we are at today.

Billions of $$$Aid money simply just disappeared and no real investigation is done to discover where it went? Any investigation into Ukraine corruption especially regarding events during the last administration will naturally include Biden since he was the point man there at the time.

It is rediculous how so many are twisting Trump being concerned whether Aid to Ukraine will be used or simply just stolen or lost through corrupted loopholes on his watch. Biden having experienced how corrupt some were in the Ukraine should be encouraging investigations and making sure American interests are protected, especially since he appears to want to be President in 2020!

Edit add: I have no problem with any investigations into Trump or anyone else. I do think this one is a bit silly. Hopefully, next week, more witnesses who were actually more involved with this Ukraine /Trump situation will be questioned. Rudy is an obvious one since he seemed to be the designated point man...no different than how Biden would be when he was so involved there.

It does seem strange since he is a civilian but witnesses have all said...they had to talk to Rudy. So he obviously should be called in to give testimony. Zelensky actually was on the call stated there were no demands publicly. Obviously, he can't be called nor forced to give testimony. So let's just get this over and move onto the next Trump faux pas.

Nope, nothing has been taken out of the sails of the whistleblower, the impeachment procedings continue.

I really don’t understand the penchant to speak as if you are somehow representing some large group of people. Can’t you own an opinion without imagining that everyone is on your side? LOL.

The “no direct knowledge” defense died weeks ago, but ardent Trump supporters continue to whistle past that graveyard.

Trump admitted publicly he tried to get the Ukraine to help against Biden. Not unlike he asked for Russian help against Clinton openly in 2016.

Mr. Trump only plays 4D chess if the D stands for dumb. He’s his own worst enemy.

I get that the impeachment circus is ongoing. But with regards to the whistle blower, his connection is the phone call is it not? And we have the transcript of the phone call. So what else could the whistle blower have that he hasn't already said? Surely he isn't hiding the best for last.

The back room secret "legal impeachment inquiry" continues.
Corrected that for you.

The op is stating that the Democrats do not want any of these "witnesses" being questioned in public.

It is also showing a link between the "whistleblower" the illegal leaker and Schiff.

You have not commented on the link between these 3 folks. Care too?

I assume not as at appears you are only here to muddy the waters with personal opinion....

Lolz🤪

How is fighting to the death over blown fake patriotism?

And that is offensive

You can say our fallen dead fought for the constitution that's fine.
Just as well as I can say they fought for our freedom more than
anything. And for me and most Americans socialism is a threat to
that freedom. Not to mention the people of this country and my
grand daughter. Whom I look after with a viking sword and also
would die for. Even before consideration to patriotism. How over
blown fake is that?

America will never be a socialist country!

Also just so I have all this straight? If we get nuked the missiles will likely be
built with technology given to China by Bill Clinton. Funded by Iran with the
money Obama gave them. And the warheads developed with the uranium Hillary
sold to Russia. And then refined by Iran into weapons grade plutonium in Russian
centrifuges. Bought with money Obama gave them.

And I should just kick it while socialists are trying to remove the only tempest in
the shlt storm our POTUS Donald Trump. Because you ( is this the mud pit?) say so?
Who in the F$^% are you? Okay you know what great job inciting. I'm ready right
now. Thank you for making me see what has to be done.

Almost forgot my beer!

Don’t mistake me, I remember what Obama said too. He definitely said that after winning his second term he’d have more lee-way to work with Russia. If you see working with Russia as a bad thing, then yeah, Obama did it too.

If working with Russia is a good thing though, as most ardent Trump supporters maintain, then what Obama said was equally a good thing ... that’s just inescapable logic. Maybe it’s easier for me because Obama, Trump, Putin and anyone else that seeks out the positions of power that let them dominate others are psychopaths.

Are you talking about loan guarantees during the Obama administration for Ukraine now? You do realize that’s not cash but more or less like co-signing Ukraine’s loans, right?

You guys are chanting that “point man” line like holy writ eh? LOL. Joe Biden did the bidding of the President of the United States. If you don’t know that Joe Biden is a braggart by this point, you never will. What CRIME did Biden commit again? What crime can you allege that he committed? None of you seem to be able to answer that.

People are twisting what Trump said? Yeah, I’d agree with the essence but not the form of your argument. Trump and all the ardent Trump supporters are repeating a RIDICULOUS misrepresentation of that phone call with Trump and Zelensky. It is OBVIOUS that Trump is dangling the arms deal ... for what? Pure Republican conspiracy theories.

I didn’t and don’t think what Trump did was illegal and I think it’s a damned weak hook for impeachment on its own, but come on Cyn ... words have meaning. At least admit what Trump did and what he meant to do.

Why should Biden support an investigation into NOTHING? What crimes again did Obama or Biden or Hunter Biden commit?

You guys are against investigations until you aren’t. Sad.

It is utterly mindbending that so many people think it's completely ok to stab our allies and NATO in the back so a foreign power can over run them and annex areas left completely undefended by this idiots blatant abuse of foreign policy.

Whats utterly mind bending is that NATO along with almost all of Europe has been screwing the USA financially and stabbing us in the back ever since the end of WWII. Look it up as there are many papers published on it. Then again if all you read and listen to the MSM propaganda machine you are their minion.

Have a bag of crisps on me.

Schiff kicks people out and while waiting for them to leave makes a new rule that any time lost will be deducted from Republican question time!?!?!

It’s offensive to refer to your post as fake patriotism? I could probably have left that line out, but it’s certainly my opinion. Are you really that easily offended? You were fine to joke about my needs for medication a bit ago, and wondered why I couldn’t appreciate humor. I didn’t happen to be joking, and I do find fake patriotism offensive.

IF you’d like to stick to the facts, I’m really good with that. That doesn’t seem to be what you’re doing though.

Our freedom is based on our Constitution. And yes, our armed forces have fought and died for both over the course of our history. You have the freedom to have your opinions as do I, and we have the freedom to disagree, as we quite obviously do.

Maybe look at as the US paying back war profits. The war did help the US recover from the Great Depression. Come to think of it, since WWII it's probably fair to say the number 1 beneficiary has been the US.

I bet the Republicans wish they hadn’t given Chairs such power in 2015, eh?

Oh well, goose and gander, etc. etc.

I was editing my post up above to point out that I have no problem with investigations. This one does seem silly and grasping straws. Mueller's investigation was only focused on Trump more than actually following leads into election corruption. There was a lot of legit avenues the special council did not follow up on.

In reading the transcript of July 25th... Biden's name was tossed out as an afterthought of general dialogue. Trump obviously was more focused on corruption overall and seemed to want to impress upon the new President that despite rumors being shared online that Biden stopped an investigation...he was not that way. He really wanted Ukraine to follow through and root out the corruption similiar to how he is attempting to drain the swamp here.

Edit: of course, just MY own opinion since I do not speak for anyone but myself. Just this old gal trying to understand and find my own truth to make a good election vote in 2020.

I disagree regarding Mueller but we both know that. This stuff in the House at the moment? In my opinion, typical Democratic tendency to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I have no respect for Pelosi or Schiff personally, but that doesn’t mean that what they’re doing is illegal or out of line with their Constitutional powers, because it’s just not.

I got sick of Congressional investigations during the seven or eight investigations into Clinton and Benghazi. I don’t like Hillary Clinton and didn’t then, but the Republicans sure as heck used the Congress of the United States to further nothing more than their political agenda. As the Democrats are doing now quite arguably.

Two-headed snake. Potato, potatoe.

Sorry, we massively disagree on what Trump is doing and has done. I’m good to leave it there. Thanks for a reasonable discussion! Rare these days.

Money laundering. Same with the other members who's kids were on that board. Of course they are innocent until proven guilty, but an investigation is needed to find that. Do you agree, or are your partisan blinders on too damn tight?

Money laundering? Fascinating. Both Biden’s too! Finally something to actually discuss.

You’re going to have to give me more actual information about the money laundering claims. And as usual, you confuse my interest in the facts for partisanship. If you haven’t noticed, I believe all politicians are psychopaths and the two party system is really a two-headed snake.

So, money laundering. How, where why??? Have you got enough to start a thread? Cause I guess it’s off topic here.

Being paid a salary, albeit a generous one, to sit on a company board is money laundering?

Umm ya. You better make sure you've identified the whistleblower correctly because what I read the person shown in the picture as being the whistleblower isnt the whistleblower. Remember after charlottesville, people were so sure the knew the identity of the driver? Only it wasn't the driver and thank yous so much, that family was put through hell from the harassment the "mistake" caused.

I can agree that the Republicans need to suck it up and deal with this kangaroo court system that they created in 2015. A lesson of forethought that there are always legal loopholes and once discovered will be used.

Partisan politics is exhausting but does keep a balance of power in check. Thus the back and forth partisan antics over past few decades. It truly has become the Hatfields/Mccoys and the newbies coming in have no real idea why they have to fight and dislike the other side but are simply following their elder leaders mantras.

Being paid 80K a month is suspicious given his talents and limitations. And add the others who have kids on the same board, same country, and I think we all know Ukraine is/was one of the most corrupt countries. With all that, I'd say it deserves in investigation. Were favors given? Why did those kids get those jobs?

If we can spend years looking into Trump, I'm pretty sure we can spend a few months checking into this.
