On October 3rd 2019 an order was signed for activation of reserve components in the Marines for active duty in support of civilian authorities.

It seems our government apparently is getting ready for something occurring in our soil.

It's possible that with democrat/socialist Tlaib claiming that democrats are looking at ways to arrest Republicans, and with all the BS that democrats/socialists are using at trying to get rid of the duly elected POTUS, it is possible that they are getting ready in case of riots.

I hope I am wrong.

This is just a change order from MARADMIN 300/14. They have not been called to active duty. Some things were changed that add to the last one but it just a procedural change order....nobody has been called to duty....yet.

Sounds exactly what is happening in Hong Kong today.

It's for the border mission.

We've had active duty units supporting the border patrol all year. Rather than continue to disrupt Active Component deployment and training cycles, it just makes sense to utilize the reserves going forward.

Marine Corps Total Force is for pay and personnel records. Why you find that alarming is beyond baffling.

This MARADMIN cancels a previous MARADMIN pertaining to how reserves can be requested to assist civilian authorities. This notice mobilizes exactly zero Marines.

1st responder here, D. Homeland Sec. I have a Sec.Clearance, so I have to tread lightly here. I receive D.H.S. alerts and cyber concerns, pretty regularly.

Calling up and out any discharged vet is not a good sign. But, if you see the Nat. Guard called out to national or international support, then my team moves to support/implement N.G. policies and security while they are deployed.

In general, Michigan's bases, and weaponry, are maintained by the N.G. Call ups/out involving the N.G. and reg. branches...both at same time...is always suspect.

I've received no call up, so we generally know it's something when and if the National Guard are deployed out-country or in.**

**I will always post really troublesome alerts here to the ATS membership.

The old orders were only for mobilization, not for activation. In the old orders nothing is said about activation of the Marine corps. So it isn't just a renewal, it is a change in orders from mobilization to activation in case of a crisis, including massive unrest.

You should leave the condescending attitude.

Well, perhaps you should have spent those two minutes reading both orders. The new orders are not just a renewal from the old orders. The old orders were just for mobilization. The new ones are for activation and deactivation of the Marine RC for defense of civil authorities in case of crisis.

With everything that is happening, I just find it a bit strange that those orders are changed now.

Perhaps you need to read the whole order and perhaps understand a bit of the background would help. But hey I get it, the headline and OP are way way more alarming than dull routine military order sets.

Orders require refreshing and updates. We update polices at work every 3 years and content and title change. The previous order 300/14 makes reference to activation / deactivation and sine all of its underpinnings ie the various laws reference have changed, hence the verbiage has changed.

Also: Never mind that the SEC Navy and Def (all Trump) appointees have to agree to the activation and Trump is the CIC of all of the military the premise that Talib or any other Democrat is getting the USMC ready to stage some sort of mass arrest is beyond laughable
