Wasn't the 2017 Vegas Shooting the worst on record?

In terms of the number of civilians hit, I mean.

Sure, the death toll was just under 60, but over 400 folks were directly hit by bullets from the same shooter (with an extra 400 or more indirectly injured in the ensuing chaos).

No shooting in The States has seen this many folks hit by one and the same shooter in a single shooting.

Hence, the 2017 Vegas Shooting is the worst in the history of the modern United States.

Lets all hope that by the year 2319 we will still be saying it was the worst in American history. Its rather unpleasant for me to be trying to rate death of anyone greater than another, I suppose if you knew or were related to someone that was involved in one of these many incidents then that would be the worst regardless of total casulaties.

From sheer numbers that the perp attacked in this case it would look like the most destructive to human life, it has far higher numbers of injuries than any previous massacre

The title is very self-explanatory. It's even got a goddamn question mark after it.

I know it was two years in the past, but reviewing the events of that shooting reinforces the shock felt. In 21st century America, a deadly shooting of this magnitude where several hundreds were injured DIRECTLY by bullets from THE SAME shooter. Crazy. Just imagine for a second that there was another shooter or two more or even three more with the same cache of weapons that the property developer had.

As i suspected...just a dumb thread with zero point to be made.

Canadians are like the speed limit in Montana.....everyone knows they are there....but nobody pays attention to them.

don't talk about vegas, he acted alone, motives unclear, he didn't choose his victims based on age/sex/ethnicity though that much we know!

The Tulsa Race Riot (or the Greenwood Massacre) of 1921[8][9][10][11] took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921, when mobs of white residents attacked black residents and businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma.[1] It has been called "the single worst incident of racial violence in American history."[12] The attack, carried out on the ground and by air, destroyed more than 35 square blocks of the district — at that time the wealthiest black community in the United States, known as "Black Wall Street". but that was done with legit fire bombing from the air. in modern times i think its las vegas (roughly as many wounded as the sarin gas attacks in japan)


if were counting government attacks on civilians then id say it was bonus army en.wikipedia.org... 1017 injured in the two days but only a few deaths
