Found this post in kevin randles blog about jesse marcels sr journals being found. According to him, marcels family asked the help of a specialist to see if there was any cryptic writing on these journals.

for those who may not know, marcel was the guy handling the roswell debris.

So what we deduce here.either he was a patriot who didnt write anything in the diaries because of his position,or there was nothing to begin with. Or ,and this is far fetched, his family decided to cash in on the ufo money making circuit.

In any case,it would be nice to see the relevant entries uploaded somewhere so we can judge ourselves. Randle says part 1 so more entries in his blog will follow. I hope marcels journal entries of that time will be posted somewhere and we will not hear any excuse of the sort "wait till the book comes out"

beats me matey, but anything could have happened.Stuffed in an old suitcase, lost in a messy attic etc. should this go the book way im sure we ll be on the same boat and your insinuation will be well founded.

the most important thing is they asked for the help of a linguist ergo there is zero mention of either craft or bodies. And according to randle the journals were found for some time now.Even 4 5 months is enough to check the relevant dates and it seems they didnt find a smoking gun.

I do hope these get published though.I m sure some interesting nuggets will be found here and there

Which is hardly surprising since Marcel never mentioned bodies when he summoned the case back from its 30-year-old grave in the late 1970s.

The "bodies" story was just as inevitable an embellishment as the 'time-travelers' in the Rendlesham case - again 30 years later.

Since Mac Brazel kept hold of his pile of junk for a few weeks since finding it on 14th June 1947 (until the Arnold sighting inspired a cash reward in the media), perhaps Bessie Marcel, daughter of Mac, knew best all along:

"The debris looked like pieces of a large balloon which had burst. The pieces were small, the largest I remember measuring about the same as the diameter of a basketball. Most of it was a kind of double-sided material, foil-like on one side and rubber-like on the other... Sticks, like kite sticks, were attacked to some of the pieces with a whitish tape. The tape was about two or three inches wide and had flower-like designs on it. The 'flowers' were faint, a variety of pastel colors... The foil-rubber material could not be torn like ordinary aluminum foil.

I do not recall anything else about the strength or other properties of what we picked up. We spent several hours collecting the debris and putting it into sacks. I believe we filled about three sacks... We speculated a bit about what the material could be. I remember dad (Mac Brazel) saying 'Oh, it's just a bunch of garbage.' "

And from piles of garbage, legends are born...

Personalty I dont think it patriotic to hide information from the American public that could and can be benifical to the public. The BS line for national security is just double speak.

If I thought I could get a cash reward for a pile of garbage, I might be tempted to collect it too.

$3000 may not sound like a lot today, but it was a lot in 1947.

If you're at war and you have some kind of advantage over your enemy, do you really want to make that advantage public and level the playing field? Or do you want to keep the advantage?

"Dear Diary,

I met some aliens today. One of them was really cute and said he liked me, and I like him but not 'like like.' He gave me a tinfoil kite, but it smashed to pieces the first time I tried to fly it. Oh, well, maybe next time."

But Mac Brazel did mention bodies at the time, saying "And they're not green."

So which bodies did he see - and where?

There seems to be a lot of garbage (as in bull#) in the link the confused one has provided. For example, the debris field was 3/4 mile long and over a hundred yards thick, so much so that the sheep refused to cross it and took the long way around to get to the water.

The only validity that should be given to the linked version is that Mac Brazel was told NOT to talk about what he found, and so he did not divulge any truths in the July 9th interview.

Garbage interview equals garbage facts.

Same way "new" evidence someone other than Oswald killed Kennedy? Ie, "let's put new "evidence" out and make a butt load of cash?"

Do I believe what crashed on Roswell ranch was Project M? I don't think so. Could it have been some sort of militery aircraft? Yes, sure.

What get me about this case, is how could they mistake bits of wood and foil for a flying disc?

Have you been in the military and heard the scuttlebutt?
It's a wonder they didn't identify it as Hitler's escape zeppelin.

Interview with Mac Brazel
Roswell Daily Chronicle, July 9, 1947

"According to Brazel they simply could not reconstruct it at all. They tried to make a kite out of it, but could not do that and could not find any way to put it back together so that it would fit.

Then Major Marcel brought it to Roswell and that was the last he heard of it until the story broke that he had found a flying disk.

Brazel said that he did not see it fall from the sky and did not see it before it was torn up, so he did not know the size or shape it might have been, but he thought it might have been about as large as a table top. The balloon which held it up, if that was how it worked, must have been about 12 feet long, he felt, measuring the distance by the size of the room in which he sat. The rubber was smoky gray in color and scattered over an area about 200 yards in diameter.

When the debris was gathered up the tinfoil, paper, tape, and sticks made a bundle about three feet long and 7 or 8 inches thick, while the rubber made a bundle about 18 or 20 inches long and about 8 inches thick. In all, he estimated, the entire lot would have weighed maybe five pounds.

There was no sign of any metal in the area which might have been used for an engine and no sign of any propellers of any kind, although at least one paper fin had been glued onto some of the tinfoil.

There were no words to be found anywhere on the instrument, although there were letters on some of the parts. Considerable scotch tape and some tape with flowers printed upon it had been used in the construction.

No strings or wire were to be found but there were some eyelets in the paper to indicate that some sort of attachment may have been used."

The saucer case was probably made as counter intelligence. There are some great threads here in this forum for the people who want to read some more on the whats and hows of this case.

That's what I mean. No way these people could have confused what basically is a weather balloon for a flying disc.

So they put that story out there to make people think it was a flying disc.

Brazel was interviewed at least 4 times. The Daily Record, the Joyce and the Whitmore are the consistent ones. After that Brazel was placed in military custody. As he says he was “put in jail” for “doing a good deed.”

The fourth interview on July 9th was done after he was released by the military jail. This is where his story changes. He was told what to say by a military that was trying to cover up the recovery of a crashed alien ship. That is why he found the wreckage earlier, as it had to coincide with their used balloons. And it had to be material that was NOT alien.

Common sense should tell you that the military would not be threatening civilians with death over items that were readily available at a dime store. Nor would they have their soldiers out at two separate sites picking up all the wreckage they could find and threatening civilians who had any of it.

The fourth interview was the cover-up interview so it is basically the hoax interview, where the military is hoaxing you into believing nothing happened.

As you have well noticed over the years, there is an ATS alien agenda here which attempts to divert the seeker from any belief in an alien presence on earth.

It is up to you to pick out which of your fellow posters are deceiving you.

We're just trying to persuade people not to immediately jump to the "ALIENS!" conclusion right off the bat. Of course, many people are convinced that aliens are indeed involved in their experiences, and may have even been told that directly by the "aliens" themselves. If that's what a person believes, fine. It may or may not give that person comfort.

However, you know that there is no general consensus that aliens even exist, and there has never been a single piece of evidence that has withstood independent investigative scrutiny that proves beyond a doubt that they exist. That would have probably made the news in some form. So until that happens, we feel that attaching an "aliens" explanation to something is at the very least premature, and we should look for other possible explanations. The thing is, though, even "We don't know" is a more reasonable explanation than "aliens," because at least with "We don't know," we're not trying to trying to explain one unknown with another one.

For clarity, I do not put YOU in the category of deceiver, as you always seem to be middle of the road with it all.

But the people on ATS who KNOW that THEY are HERE are constantly telling the people on ATS who DO NOT KNOW ~ that hey ~ They are Here.

So let’s get over the first hurdle.
THEY ARE HERE.
Now what.

It’s like Bigfoot.

If 10,000 people have been telling you over the last 200 years ~ that yeah ~ They are out there. Then the rest of us who have never seen one might want to start paying attention that ~ yeah ~ Bigfoot is out there. And stop discounting everything.
