On this day, June 8, 1967, Israel attacked the USS liberty.

The veterans who were under siege say that it was no accident.

That the attack was deliberate and intentional.

The USS Liberty, clearly identifiable as a US craft, was a surveillance ship, a non-combat vessel.

Its speculated that the USS Liberty was attacked because it intercepted communications which it was not supposed to.

Communications which left no doubt that Israel had provoked, instigated and initiated what came to be known as the Six Day War.

The attack would then be blamed on Arabs/Egypt hoping for US intervention on the side of Israel.

34 Americans killed and 172 injured.

Fighter jets that were dispatched to help the USS Liberty were recalled.

The attack was covered up and the sailors threatened and warned to never speak of the attack again.

Declassified documents prove Israel knew the ship was American.

During the attack the U.S.S. Liberty continually called the 6th fleet which was nearby begging for air support.

Two groups of fighter aircraft were sent to defend the Liberty but unbelievably they were recalled by the White House.

The Admiral in Command of the sixth fleet called Washington to confirm the recall order. Secretary of Defence MacNamara came on the line followed by the president himself who told the Admiral, "I want that G D Ship going to the bottom".

Finally after 3 hours into the attack a Russian spy ship appeared so the Israelis withdrew because there were witnesses allowing the Liberty to limp home to safety.

The attack was to be blamed on Egypt and the U.S. would enter the war."

it seems The same old “we hate Jews” thread with no real explanation as to why this event happened is trotted out over and over.
Another issue, why didn’t the US do something, I think the US were not innocent victims in this, probably a false flag to bring in their own navy

But Nazi's and anti-Semitics sure do bring this up a lot to justify their goal of eliminating Jews.

Many of our "allies" have done crap things to us. Hell British Intelligence may be behind the fake dossier to frame Trump, but I'm not going to start hating the British because of it.

Yes, Israel intentionally attacked, then said it was "all a big mistake." It was not. We all know that. But as a matter of policy, the US backs Israel. End of story. Any questions?

US Navy was in the Med. in support of Israel and in opposition to the Egyptian sea blockade against Is. That the Liberty was attacked in an attempt to blame Egypt, and get the US to fight for Israel, is not a secret. Hint hint 7 days war.

Not exactly.

We dropped 2 nukes on Japan for attacking our military at Pearl Harbor.

How should we have responded to Israel for deliberately attacking our military in the Mediterranean with the intention of killing everyone on board?

A fake dossier is not comparable to intentionally attacking and killing our military.

But I also view this from a different perspective.

There are times when accusations of antisemitism, racism, bigotry etc are legitimate but I find that these labels are also used for the sole purpose of trying to silence speech, even more so over the last couple of years since Trump was elected.

Lets be honest, with regards to certain topics, there is an official narrative.

Should someone deviate from that narrative, every attempt is made to attack and discredit that person.

For example, these are some of the topics which I feel are essentially "off-limits":

9/11, vaccines, the Federal Reserve, climate change, AIPAC, Sandy Hook, Israel, the moon landing, the Holocaust etc.

Not sure if you're the same way, but their attempts at trying to silence opposing view points or questions actually has the opposite effect on me.

It just makes me that much more curious.
