Give me a tall, blonde, asian woman, with a very tight top on, a short short skirt, wearing knee high boots and using that high pitched squeaky voi... wait, thats my pornhub favourite list.. I always get that confused with real life.

I don't even care what a woman appears as, I need to know them first.. And I don't seek knowing people. I get to know them through familiarity. If there is something there, it's from a smile.. not a bust line.

This world, often seems so fake and banal to me.. I mean, dating websites.. what the truck? If you can't meet people in your own interactions, it's simply desperation.

Attraction isn't a profile. It's knowing someone.. least to me.

Which is why I'm Frankenstein's monster, meandering about going "looooove me.. LOOOOVE ME.." as people run behind closed doors, duck under tables, and defenestrate themselves out of windows to the background of a parade of blokes carrying pitchforks and torches, yelling "Arrr there it is... !!!"

Sorry.. I hate my life.. *runs out the log off button*

I think when we are born there is already a plan in place for us to meet and have relationships with specific people in this world.

I totally believe what you just said. 100%
Even the evil people we meet shape us in one way or another.

Attraction is an animal instinct.
Some men like asian women.
Some like black women.
Some like redheads..

You dont choose that attraction. Same goes for standards of beauty. A 120lb woman is attractive to more men than a 200lb woman.

There are other factors of course but for the most part your body tells you what you want.

I met their husbands and my jaw dropped. Both guys were fat and unfit and I wouldn't consider them attractive. NOW you might say money/personality/sense of humor makes up for it. Neither of these guys are rich and just middle class working men and from the times i met them they didn't have much of a personality and both seemed like sticks in the mud. No sense of humor or anything.

Maybe they have very very very large..........brains..?

On a serious note, my husband is a very private person. Some might say he is a "stick in the mud" if they met him. That is ok with me, because I know the real him, and he is absolutely amazing.
Maybe the women in your class find fitness very important but their husbands don't and that is ok with them. I've seen the reverse too. Look at actors like Hugh Jackman, or Pierce Brosnan.

This is an interesting subject. I've always said that people wind up with someone they eventually cross paths by some fate or luck and somehow make that magical connection to continue on together. I think as we get older things that might have been appealing at a young age might not be as important as before. Beauty and good looks is one thing but also what makes up the person as a whole.

Today the internet does open up a larger area for people to cross paths. A few years back its very likely that two compatible individuals living a distance apart would have both lived and died never knowing the other existed.

I always love to hear stories of how two people meet and form a relationship. One interesting story is how my middle daughter and her boyfriend got their start.

She was working at a pet groomers in a strip mall beside some kind of Jamaican restaurant. She liked to eat in there most days and this great looking young guy not too long out of high school just happened to get a job working there for 4 days. 4 days was all he could take. Turns out that the restaurant business was not his cup of tea.
Anyhow during those 4 days he managed to play his cards just right and hook up with my beautiful model like daughter and they are still together to this day and will soon be 2 years.

Will it last? I hope it does but its not for me to decide. I think she would have to look far and wide to find a better companion.
4 days is not a lot to work with. Its seems like to me there was a bit of fate going on there.

This is precisely what I am most curious about though; is there something deeper than appearance within these individuals. Is there a more divine train of thought that changes their appearance to personify their inner spirituality that others naturally feel, and is manifested on the physical plain?

Good idea testing this with the blind. It would be fascinating (and slightly discouraging) to discover what truly makes the difference. Even though we are all human and equal in many respects, not every human is born equal.

In the kingdom of the blind: might we be voted most handsome; or most gruesome; with similar probability?

In this forum: whom is the mostest beautufulestest; and whom is the druglyest fuglyistest? And who cares?

Would a person, whom deemed themselves less attractive than average: indulge in these studies and statistics?

Does the subject, and it's suggested, supposed, implied conclusion: tickle our ego?

Ever wonder if Love: is our Heart smiling?

Why do we like some things, better than others?
Favorite colors; favorite foods; favorite sports-teams; favorite jeans; favorite animals; favorite ATS poster?

Why do plants seem to react to some folks, more positively than others?

Are we not more than our: sacred-geometryesque; anatomically-perfectly-spaced; Feng-Shui; golden-ratio-outlaid face?

Its' crazy to think what the "laws of attraction" actually do to each individual's mind; the way they think, what they like, what they don't like. "Attraction" can either be something imbedded in our brain/DNA, us ourselves knowing what we want. Or maybe there are "attractions" that are imposed based on society views. I think it comes down to each individual and their own way of thinking...thank you for sharing!
