ABC's 'Roseanne' Spinoff Officially a Go — Without Roseanne Barr

So ABC has a new Roseanne Spinoff coming called "The Conners" Without Roseanne.

Roseanne will have nothing to do with this show.

I am not a big Roseanne Barr fan but i like the first show and I really enjoyed the reboot.

But Roseanne made the whole show without her its pointless and will be a trainwreck.

She was great in the reboot and had me laughing alot. The other characters just made good fillers IMO.

I will not be watching. still super pissed that they crucified a comedian over a joke.

My wife and I said the same thing when we heard the news. Without Rosanne then what is the point? She carried that show.

Plus, if we did watch it we would be rewarding ABC for their virtue signaling firing of Rosanne. I won’t reward their negative behavior with my viewership.

Meh. It's Hollywood. They give Porn Stars keys to cities and support pedophiles and rapist until it no longer gets them movie spots then they just blame all the problems on Trump.

What a failure the show will be without Roseanne!! Disney, save your money. Roseanne is not Roseanne without the Barr.

It’s gonna be just like 2 and a half men without Charlie Sheen.

Sadly, they will still run 4 season of it.

After seeing how 2 of the cast members ( Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman) threw her under the bus, it's gonna feel good to see this show completely tank.

Only makes Roseanne look better.

We won't be watching either. I loved the new show. I loved the old show. I might love this show too... if I were to watch it. But I won't. It's tainted now.

Well they are! , it's a whole big religious cult. And Mullholland is the Vatican.

Basically they sell there identity to become slaves of metaphorically G.old O.il and D.iamonds. Catholics sell their soul to be closer to God too ? (ambious).
In Hollywood the pope it was Harvey Cumstain.. don't know who it's now but same difference.
Catholics or Hollywood same algorithm in same simulation.

I am going to check it out. As I was a fan of the original and the second version. I pretty much give every half hour comedy a chance. I like checking things out for myself before making a decision, and I like to laugh. I don't let politics get in the way of that. Groupthink is so boring to me.

However, I do not think there is any chance it will be as good without Roseanne. It is going to be a lesser show. The question is how much. They could easily just use Dan as the Trump voice. The writers are staying the same. But something for sure will be lost. The show will probably end up on my list of half hour comedies I put up on one TV while I play video games on the other. Two TV's in the living room for the win.

Another aside....How dumb is the marketing department over at ABC. They scrambled so hard to bring the show back in some form because it was the highest rated show on TV in like three years. They still think they will get the same numbers. They are in denial that Roseanne being a Trump supporter gave them a big boost. I honestly don't see anyway the third iteration comes in at those same numbers. Doesn't necessarily mean the show will be bad. It just won't pull the same numbers. Because part of its audience appears to be alienated by giving Roseanne the boot. That is just reality. Good or bad. It is reality. A chunk of the audience thinks ABC fired her mostly because she was a Trump supporter and that same chunk of audience wants someone on TV who represents their viewpoint. So they will be tuning out.
