The date was early 1974, and the setting, the Marconi Space and Defense facility at Frimley, England. At the time, the witness was employed as a draughtswoman in the Central Services branch – having previously served an apprenticeship in a division of the British Royal Navy – something which ensured that she had access to much of the establishment. On arriving at work one particular morning, she was surprised to see an inordinate number of Ministry of Defense personnel swarming around one specific building which had been cordoned off. Although she was aware that something of deep significance had occurred, it was not until later that she was able to tackle a trusted colleague, who was himself a manager at the base. “Something very serious has happened, hasn’t it?” she inquired. “Yes,” was the quiet response, “we’ve had a break-in. I can’t say anymore.” Over the course of several weeks, however, further pieces of the puzzle fell into place. It transpired that the break-in was far more than simply an unauthorized entry. What occurred was nothing short of the penetration of a highly sensitive facility by a living, breathing, extraterrestrial creature! marconi I was cautiously advised that the incident had occurred late at night, and the solitary witness was a security guard who had been patrolling the building as part of his routine duty. While walking along a corridor, the guard was startled by a dazzling blue light that emanated from one particular room. But this was no ordinary room: it was a storage facility for top secret documentation generated by Marconi as part of its work on behalf of the British Government and the Ministry of Defense, much of which was related to classified, radar-based programs. Realizing that no-one – at all – should have been in the area at that time of night, the guard burst into the room, only to be confronted by a shocking sight. There, literally sifting through pages and pages of top secret files was a gray-skinned humanoid – but decidedly non-human – creature which quickly dematerialized before the shocked guard’s eyes. Although severely traumatized by the event, he was able to provide a brief description of the being to his superiors and noted that the blue light emanated from a helmet which encompassed the head of the entity. By the following morning the guard had suffered a near-complete nervous collapse and was taken away, under a military guard, to an unspecified hospital for intensive therapy. He was not seen at the Frimley facility ever again. Some weeks later, my source had occasion to overhear snippets of a conversation which took place in the office of her boss, a Mr. Bevan. I have been advised that the following is a close approximation of the relevant section of the conversation: “We have no way of keeping these beings out; we just don’t know what to do next. i ain't a fan of military "whistleblower" reports because they always either extremmely over the top or have a obvious disinfo aura around them, this one is a exception, the account is surprisingly plausible and doesnt contain any ridiculous elements
nick redfern does make some bizzare theories at the end, but everthing else is whithin the realms of reason
also note how this reports features a grey wearing a helmet, seems like a "transitory" encounter from the diving suit/astronaut humanoid period (1950's to 1970's) to the grey period (1980-present)

I do wonder about this after hearing this story several times. Though the de-materializing bit is new. Someone could wear a alien mask, and headstrap lamps or miners helmets aren't new:

The creature could have dematerialized simply by turning off the lamp and moving through an emergency exit door.

I still don't buy that the "Greys" are standing there, or walking around on Earth, in the Nude.

To my way of thinking, they would obviously be wearing some sort of environmental protection suit, that was skin tight, probably UV protectant, with some means of keeping out Earth Germs, and a head covering that covered their mouth and ears, but perhaps could let or filter breathable gasses to them, and large dark eye patches, the same way we wear sunglasses.
If they are from the many Dwarf "Red" star systems, there life would be tuned to the red light spectrum, so they would "See" different to us Earthlings with our White light star, so would need eye protection and skin protection from our environment, even at Earth night time perhaps.

A blue/Greenish light, does seem to be a feature of many of these encounters, supposed, from these times.

Perhaps it is the only spectrum they can correctly see in.

But what do I know? I dont believe in this stuff anyway.................

The problem is that this story is appears to cone from a totally anonymous person and cannot be verified.

But it's a great story and there are some interesting links here.

Early 1974 was a time when Britain was gripped by a Phantom Helicopter Wave. This was followed by the Berwyn Mountains UFO in North Wales.

The Marconi link is also interesting. Because come the 1980s there were a number of strange deaths of scientists working for the defence contractor. The government denied anything unusual but the Dead Marconi Scientist Conspiracy will never quite go away.

Sounds like an epiphany gone wrong that left that military guard insane.
I've seen this reaction before, when the wrong people guard compartmentalized knowledge bases.

The only thing I have in common with Nick Redfern is that we were both born in the UK. I know of his work and he obviously reads ATS! But I've never met the guy.
