wow, last time i tuned in (last week) she was just ejecting some rocks every now and then. Lava is so mesmerizing.

I heard on one of the news broadcast that someone was hit in the leg with a little lava splatter... it shattered the leg.
apparently, a little bit of lava can weigh as much as a bus!!
I've seen quite a few pictures and videos where it seems that the people taking them were really rather close to the action. me, I'd be off the island by now.

I have always had a fixation with volcanoes. I think id be to memorized to leave.

I live in the appalachian mountains, at one time, a very long time ago, there were quite a few volcanoes in the mountain range. there was at least one close by that I know of but I don't know which one.. I only know about it because one of my friends from the area told me about it.. there's still alot of lava rock visible according to him on it.
I often wonder if they could become active again... so, well, I am kind of interested in the eruption although it probably wouldn't match what would happen if one of these went off too well.
