None of this shows what happens to a mind after death.
It only describes what happens to the brain.

Dear readers,

Today it is a turning point in science, one of the fundamental questions that have been asked along all the existence of humanity is what happened with our mind when we die, well finally science is able to explain it.

The Brain remains still alive for some minutes after all the other vital functions ceased and gradually there is a process of disconnection of neurons that take place. Technically if there is a way to resuscitate the person during that lapse the brain does not suffer damages.

Please check:
Star Trek foresaw what happens with our mind when we die correctly in 1980

The Intriguing point is that there was somebody able to explain in details all this stuff in 1988, through some way the scripters of Star Trek the new generation in one of the episodes had a case of a death aboard and the physician in charge was able to explain this same process as right now it is confirmed actually happens.

How 30 years ago they know with absolute certainty that this was going to be the correct scientific explanation is matter of speculations??

Considering the fact that our specie has claimed along thousands of years of civilization as well as different religious traditions that we are a separate creation from the rest of the Animal kingdom, even formally until XIX century humans were not considered to be animals at all, and that was a formidable obstacle to overcome for scientists like Charles Darwin, it is remarkable the finding of a science fiction series that correctly forecasted what science was going to find.

Following a run-in with Armus, an evil black sludge-monster thing, Lieutenant Tasha Yar is severely injured. Back in the starship's sickbay, the crew watch over Yar as she slowly dies. Just like the new scientific research explains, Commander Beverly Crusher notes that there is still hope to revitalize Lieutenant Yar, even though there is technically no brain activity.

"Neurons are beginning to depolarize," another crew member adds, just like it's explained in the scientific research.

The episode of the TV science fiction series Star trek - New generation, where this was predicted is "skin of evil" part 2.

"Skin of Evil" is the 23rd episode of the first season of the American science fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, and originally aired on April 25, 1988, in broadcast syndication. The story premise was written by Joseph Stefano, and the screenplay was re-written by Hannah Louise Shearer. The episode was directed by Joseph L. Scanlan.

The thread is open to discuss the interesting facts of powerful intuition in writers of science fiction to predict futuristic technologies and finding in Science as well as automatic writing skills in parapsychology.

Thanks for your attention,

Black Hats vs White Hats......on a Global scale.....the White Hats who are represented by Trump and Friends....however lets not forget that the Black Hats enabled Trump and Friends to win the election by not interfering and this was done as a distraction to cover their arses as Sherrif Trump publicly remediates what we the people think are ALL THE BAD GUYS....lol...this is cover so the VERY FEW baddest of the bad can fade into the background as their MINIONS are rounded up and sacrificed for the greater bad....lol....we will TAKE THIS DYNAMIC THANK YOU.....

Your answer is this.....the White Hats have been putting as much TRUTH into Hollywood and MSM and media as they possibly can...just like the Black Hats have been propagating lies and dischords......TRUE KNOWLEDGE WAS PUT INTO STAR TREK......as was put into the movie 2012 if you reverse the last 2 digits and respect that the scenario is true and is coming in 2021.

Like many "predictions" of science fiction, it's an extrapolation not intuition.

Once again Phage you are complicating matters.

Just accept that Life simply imitates Art.
Remember Gary Numan's Down in the Park when you are running from The Rape Machine in the near future...

Well,

That may explain some science fiction average authors of today works, but if you refer to really major figures of the genre, like the case of Jules Verne or Arthur C Clarke, it is quite evident they were really able to foresee trends of science so far from the point science or technology was in their historic moment that there is No way what so ever to claim they were digging in not very popular scientific literature to acquire inspiration for their novels.

What Arthur C Clarke did in 1945 to predict the communications via satellite possibly somebody can say was inspired in the surborbital parabolic trajectories of V2 german rockets in WWII, but that happened so many years ahead that satellites really existed, there was no effective way to assure that an object may can reach stable orbital flight at that time in that way and moreover that can carry a functional device to transmit signals permanently.

Please check:
www.wired.com...

Now, what Jules Verne did to predict with extreme accuracy that a rocket carrying a spacecraft launched from USA soil was going to reach the moon, is absolutely paranormal, is a glance of future that can not be explained outside the boundaries of powerful intuition. In Jules Verne time to predict that once we were going to reach the moon when humanity was not even familiar with what was a primitive airplane was an incredible audacity.

Hi dear booyakasha,

I am not going to be the person to suggest that all glances of future in literature are coming from channeling experience, in the sense of the spiritist practice but certainly there is a paranormal phenomena running on it, something that may be reached through different ways that induce the necessary deep trance.

Religious experience, Shamanism or any kind of mysticism are of course different aspects of what I am referring to.

Automatic writing is a genuine paranormal phenomena, it happen in Literature and it is not just only to predict trends of advance in technology, but to foresee with absolute clarity historic events to occur decades ahead.

The human civilization in great form is based on this so important strange parapsychological experience, crucial books like I-Ching, Brahma-Vaivarta Purana, The Bible or Al- Quran can Not be understood fully without considering that writers have actual prophetic abilities.

Carl Sagan manifested his interest in this same source of knowledge, when religion reach concepts that modern science is just trying to grasp and it happen they are arriving to the same conclusions, he openly talked about this even in his so famous book and TV documentaries series Cosmos.

Well Dear Ruiner1978,

Lets check the facts, around those so called 'predictions' as are coined by skeptics in their futile attempt to hide what is pretty evident:

There was No way that somebody may know by reading scientific journals or magazines 26 years before it really happened, that a transatlantic of incredible dimensions and power was going to collapse in the middle of the Ocean in its inaugural trip as it occurred in the novel "The Sinking of a Modern Liner", written in 1886 by English journalist W.T. Stead.

Of course the information could not come at that time from other place than the collective Unconscious, as Dr. Carl Jung might say, since another author in other country also foresaw in other famous novel exactly the same event of Stead's book.

Please check:
Collective Unconcious in Carl Jung Psychology

This also happened in 'Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan', written in 1898 by American author Morgan Robertson, she was just only 14 years before, but she was able to provide practically the name of the sunken ship.

It is very interesting to see that the two mentioned authors were coming from the country where the Titanic departed and the country that was its final destination if it might have finished that fatal trip.

Please check:

Thanks for your reply to that other reply.

Exactly, since in your case (if I understood what you said on the issue correctly) you had no direct input of data, your brain will simply not provide any memories of the event after your body is reanimated (or brought back to life if you will). I think that your input on this topic will greatly enhance the scientific conversation.

I'd like to think so

Consciousness and increasing awareness is more like teaching a program how to search information on an internet and tune a wireless device (sensors including the third eye).

To know how energetic manipulation of a body occurs and logically understand it is a great tool for creating new tools. The more energized the brain is the more phenomena (entangled information flow and increased organization in the flow). In old times they knew that energized people when the allow the speech center to play around the talking in tongues occur (sometimes singing in tongues).

It is funny that Roger Penrose and Stuart Hammerhof is a 100 years a head of everybody else on a real awareness model of consciousness that is being replicated and confirmed by experiments. And Science dogma is the greatest religion in the way for fast progress. Materialism died with the discovery of entanglement but 90% of all people on this planet cannot handle that change in thinking.

After the brain shuts off, researchers have found that gene activities continue for days after brain death.

In mice, there is a big increase in brain activity for about 20 to 30 seconds, which could be interpreted as a condition of very heightened consciousness. This maybe the cause of experiences people have in near death, then revived.

As for death in itself, no-one will ever know until they die. Of course that is for people that believe in life after death. Perhaps it is something that can't be conceived. Something beyond our realm of thinking.

The mind is a product of the brain. When the brain terminates, shouldn't the mind terminate with it?.

It was not received for analysis for publication before June 25tth of 1947, In the American Journal of Physiology, but actual date of publication is not disclosed, at least not in the same place is available the full text of the paper.

So there is no way to show it was written in 1940 as it was originally claimed in those speculations you have mentioned. I am going to continue investigating how long the reviewers had that paper in analysis and when actually was published.
It said 1940s, not 1940, and I'm quite sure 1947 is in the 1940s.

Please check:
CARL SAGAN on How Hindu Culture is basis for modern Cosmic theories
Carl Sagan does not say Hindu Culture is basis for modern cosmic theories, he says they coincide no doubt by accident.
"It is the only religion in which the timescales correspond, no doubt by accident, to those of modern scientific cosmology"
"If we live in such an oscillating universe, then the big bang is not the creation of the cosmos, but merely the end of the previous cycle"

Modern cosmology since 1998 differs from what he called "modern cosmology" back then which was before 1998 when the cosmological view of our universe underwent a significant change based on new data and analysis. Back then a cyclic universe was still considered possible, but now dark energy observations make such a cyclical universe unlikely. So really the Hindus and the pre-1998 cosmology both apparently got it wrong based on our latest data and thinking, which is that it now seems very unlikely that the universe is cyclical, and to Sagan's credit he didn't actually say it was, he said "If we live in such an oscillating universe" which was still considered possible when he said that. There's not much correlation left with the cyclical parallel today. At least the Hindus get credit for thinking the universe was older than other religions thought, but no they don't get credit for the basis of modern cosmology not even in Sagans day and far less now when we know it's almost certainly wrong.

That by Accident is a subjective judgement, he didn't have any way to assure it was in that way, the only thing that was evident is that both converged to the same conclusion.

Now, since he was a man that was tied by the scientific method, that depend a lot of the use of senses, he was unable of course to grasp that intuition can play a determinant role on all of this.

Perhaps if he would be a Mathematician, instead of a Physicist he could see that such a remark is extremely dull, nothing can match in such a way by coincidence, there are no accidents of such size in nature.

What matters on his observation is what is objective on it, in other words the remarkable coincidence the pointed out, not his very personal interpretation.

Now there have been physicists that were in all aspects of methodology trully Mathematicians like Isaac Newton or Albert Einstein, that is the reason they moved Physics ahead like nobody else before.

Albert Einstein: “I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am. When two expeditions of scientists, financed by the Royal Academy, went forth to test my theory of relativity, I was convinced that their conclusions would tally with my hypothesis. I was not surprised when the eclipse of May 29, 1919, confirmed my intuitions. I would have been surprised if I had been wrong.”

“Then you trust more to your imagination than to your knowledge?”

“I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”

Well, that is a materialistic approach, what is first the software or the hardware? it depends if you think the software is develop in and by the own computer it must be first the hardware, but if you think that even the firmware is developed by the manufacturer, in other words prexists everything else together with the design of the machine, the hardware remains in a very secondary place.

Even if you don't want to talk about religion or God, it is clear that the genetic codes with all the information about ourselves prexists long time before our body is able to survive alone, the transfer of gens from parents to children seen as an extremely large chain of offsprings up to infinity, is responsible of our existence in this time and place.

So if the things are in that way, how somebody can claim that the mind is the byproduct of the brain, the mind is also conceived through the genetic code, something that lives in the microscopic world, so close to the boundary between energy and matter.

Have you ever known families where talents are inherited? families of Musicians, Painters, Poets, athletes of high performance, creative minds, scientists, physicians, engineers?

Our talents define important part of our minds, establish our type of Intelligence.

Many of the so called experiments under hypnosis to "show" reincarnation are in fact showing how much of the lives of our ancestors we inherit, about their gained experience, as well as, our ability to connect with the collective unconscious.
