I'm not sure which attack they were referring to, but RT just reported on TV just now that the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Israeli F-15's were responsible for the missile strike on the Syrian Military Base. They said they will get confirmation from Israeli officials.

Cannot find any articles at the moment.

"Israel said it does not comment on foreign news reports."

Hmm.

Personally, I would not trust RT.com to hold my pint in a pub, but it does seem that Israel the only ones who have not denied responsibility. If so, then they probably hit a bunch of Iranians, or Hezbollah.

Iranians. Israeli sources were saying that Iran has been setting up a base on the airfield that was attacked. Haaretz is reporting the same thing as RT. Two F-15Is, 8 missiles were fired, some were intercepted, some got through.

As with the U.S. airstrikes in 2017, were these against the planes/base that launched the planes carrying the deadly gas?

Here's an article. Russia says that 5 of the 8 Israeli missiles were shot down. Still 14 people (soldiers?) were killed.

How many US 24/7 news outlets do you trust. The US government paid off the US news outlets long ago. The US government pushes corporate news outlets to not cover select stories. Why don't we see MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, or FOX covering the Gaza protest or about media person covering the protest shot by Israel snipers.

It appears it was against an Iranian base and equipment there.

Syria is also saying it was Israel now. They changed their tune from earlier:

Syrian state news agency Sana, quoting a military source, reported that air defences had repelled an Israeli missile attack on T4, saying the missiles were fired by Israeli F15 jets in Lebanese airspace.

What kind of weaponry is able to shoot down an air-to-ground missile from a jet?

No news organization is talking about any air strikes. They are still talking about the chemical attack. Wouldn't they mention this? Dont tell me they are keeping quiet when we know telling a secret to a journalist is tantamount to putting it on a billboard.
So I'm not too sure any air strike has actually taken place at all. Any video?

Update. They are talking about it now. That's funny. Not funny funny but...

Syria is saying the chemical attack never took place.

Several types. Long range subsonic missiles are vulnerable to interception by several surface to air systems. It's their biggest drawback.

Those who bombard drones want to protect boots on the ground.

With so many Hezbollah fighters in Syria this could mean a Lebanon surprise.

Syria has the world's oldest capita city and the Bible says one day Damascus will be a heap of ruins. So they try to either fulfill or prevent the prophecy.
