Agreed Cygnis, something very big is/was afoot...and where it will settle out is yet to be seen.

Did someone try to "make it look like it was a USA attack"?

Although if it really was the USA, it wouldn't surprise me either.

Nothing makes common sense any more when it comes to foreign policy for the last 2 decades... and what the blow back has been.

The Israel rumours floating around too... a diversion of headlines in Israeli news would help poor Bibi out a bit I think too... Just saying...

Time will tell maybe... there will be the truth, and the official version..

We will be sifting the ashes for clues for years probably as concerned planetary peasants on this story.

A relatively safe prediction on my part there. Ha!

The same twitter feed that said that the planes were heading towards the ships but then also a little later it said the ships were Israeli

It would have been over years ago.

All seems quiet at the moment.

Chatter i can uncover is Israel launched a missile strike, Syria took out 8 of them and it blew some stuff up and injured and killed some people.

That’s about it. I doubt Syria or Russia for that matter is going to respond with a bombing run on Jerusalem.. who knows thou..

Edit: the image capture is not out of the norm for daily activities around there.

Assad and his state-run media are paranoid. On pins-and-needles for some reason.

Tyias (T4) airbase near Homs was hit according to Syrian state media.

Pentagon confirmed it was not American forces.

Speculation is Israel or France. Some private video clips on twitter reportedly sound like French Dassault Mirage aircraft (no confirmation).

However the videos appear to show missiles and not aircraft.

Reports the airstrikes came from Lebanese airspace. An Israeli page from their playbook but until someone confirms who is involved its speculation.

I'm going to speculate that this was Saudi forces, and/or other GCC.
This is who the US wants to start policing the middle east.
It's also showing the Mullahs in Iran that their proxy wars won't be tolerated

Two F-15Is, firing 8 missiles, six were intercepted according to Russian sources.

If the Syrians are guilty of a gas attack on their own people where is the irrefutable, incontrovertible proof that it was the Syrian govt and not Israel or the US doing it and blaming the Syrian govt for it.

Come on, where is the proof, the proof, the proof, the proof ????

5 of 8 according to the article. Originally an Syrian official claimed they intercepted 8.

I'm not sure i believe those claims anyway. Its not impossible, but the IAF should have gotten the message at this pooint and build more effective strike packages.

They originally said six of 8. Israeli strike packages have worked on every mission they've done over Syria.
