Mr Rogers.
The name means so much to so many. His influence helped mold the lives of countless children growing up.
Won't you be my neighbor?

His compassion, charisma, and the genuine bond he created with so many children is a beacon of light that shines even long after his death in 2003.
From 1968-2001 a total of 31 seasons totaling 33 years of television, Saw Mr Rogers start right at a time in the midst of the civil rights movement and continue right up until right before September 11, (last episode aired August 31, 2001).

Humility, respect, and a care for others that was warm and genuine. His influence will still be felt for decades to come.
33 years of molding children. 33 years of influence that transcended television, is now getting its very own theatrical release, that highlights everything that was good and that was right with Mr. Rogers. A cultural icon. His place needs to be remember and cherished with an understanding that we have not seen anyone like him either before or after his time. He was truly a gift.

Hes part of why I can remain so sun shiny in these strange times. Was my favorite show as a young kid.
Learned so many things I can't even..

I cried when he died. but in all honesty he lives on through me and others.

the people that made this video are awesome. Such an amazing tribute to celebrate mr Rogers.

its a 3 minute song from pbs. Reminds me of being a kid and being inspired to make the world better.

Did ever grow anything in the Garden of your Mind?
You can grow ideas
In the Garden of your mind

It's good to be curious about many things
You can think about things and make believe
All you have to do is think
And they'll grow

Sure. A reply nobody cares about because its from a dude nobody cares about who has no idea of the cultural impact that a children's show has on growing minds... Just because you think nobody cares, does not make it the truth. I am willing to bet there are scores of people who would disagree with you.

I can see why you wouldn't like someone that taught kids to be respectful of others and to take personal responsibility. Many of us grew up with this great man teaching us how to be better humans.

True. It is what it is.
Doesn't exactly feel great when the words you use to describe someone else is used to describe yourself in much the same light. Again it doesn't make what I said any truer than what you said. When its all said and done it's all about intent.

How can anyone seriously hate on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood? Sheesh. Why don't you go take a piss on Sesame Street and Arthur while you're at it

I'm surprised anyone older than 14 has to rag on something that was part of someone else's childhood.

But oh well different courses for different horses and all.

Dude, you would have to at least be in your late 20s to remember this show.
This movie is for adults who grew up with mister rogers to have something to take their kids to.

Im old dude.
The man changed my life.

you think I care about pokemon or ninja turtles anymore... he man? There's a huge difference of course, all kid shows, but one stands out.

and what freaking 7 year old who didnt watch mr rogers growing up in the 70s or 80s... what are they going to want to watch a documentary about a dead dude they dont know for?? He would have been dead 8 years before they were born.

are you thinking before you type or just reacting.
