Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz on Thursday affirmed Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro will not even be able to enter Peruvian airspace, in response to President's recent statements over his unwelcome presence in the country.
As is known, Maduro said Thursday he will attend the Summit of the Americas despite host Peru saying he is unwelcome.
In this context, Araoz recalled Maduro's presence —as agreed in the Lima Group meeting— is no longer welcome and that the Group even decided to withdraw his invitation to the aforementioned event.
"He cannot even enter Peruvian airspace. He cannot enter (Peru) because he is not welcome [...]," she expressed.
"He has to understand that we don't want to receive him in Peru," Araoz added.

If the guy gets taken out, it will be decades of open warfare for the nations involved with this summit, and specifically Peru and Venezuela.
That cannot be justified, no matter who did what, or why.

The rights or wrongs, ins and outs of it are one thing.
But the fact is that it will be open warfare if this happens.

All he has to do is say he is going and send a plane, if they shoot it down and he never even got on it, there is sure to be ensuing conflict and they didn't even take out the man they wanted.
