I have placed this in Skunk Works because it is highly speculative. Tony Blair has been very vocal about the vote to leave the E.U. and how, in his opinion, leaving would be a big mistake. The subject in the links first came to my attention a few days ago in a Facebook group that I am a member of. I accept the possibility that these allegations could be part of a deliberate campaign to smear the former P.M. by groups that favour leaving the E.U.

In summary. In Nineteen Eighty Two a man well known to local police was charged with soliciting in toilets in west London. Bow Street Magistrates fined a man known as Miranda, a very promiscuous cross dresser, and a poor guitar player Five Hundred Pounds (Fifty in some reports). Taken from the linked article below in the Daily Mail by Clarissa Dickson Wright. "There were several members of the future Labour Cabinet in my circle, including Tony Blair himself. We called him Miranda, not least because of his long hair and girlish looks. He was regarded as a poor, sad thing, and considered something of a fantasist."

The name under which the man was charged was Charles Lynton. Tony Blair's full name is Anthony Charles Lynton Blair. en.m.wikipedia.org...

Needless to say I have not been able to find any mainstream news reports of anything remotely like this.

Further anecdotal evidence:
In his early years at University Blair played guitar in a rock band that, ironically enough, was named Ugly Rumours.

Blair was enrolled as a Pupil Barrister in Lincoln's Inn in Nineteen Seventy five after graduating from Oxford. It was then he joined the Labour Party and worked in the Shoreditch and Hackney South branches until Nineteen Eighty Two (The case in question went before Bow Street Magistrates in Nineteen Eighty Three. I have not been able to establish in what month the offence took place).

He has an elder brother Sir William Blair who is a high court judge.

There were rumours of an extra marital affair in two thousand and thirteen with the the then wife of Rupert Murdoch, Wendi Deng.

If you type Tony Blair Miranda and Bow Street into your search engine you will find links to lots of alternate news and conspiracy sites that cover this alleged incident. As I said I have not been able to find anything in the mainstream about this but if anyone else can I would like to see it.

It would be a remarkable story to try and fabricate to smear Tony Blair, when all you really need to do to smear the man is shout 'war criminal' at him?

I can't imagine anybody thinks fondly of Blair anymore, do they?

True enough. Can I take that to mean you do not give this any credibility or not?

It's an interesting theory for sure, and sounds like a bunch of it should be verifiable.

The thing that gives me pause is Tony has always been very very very careful. I can't see him acting so recklessly as to be busted. And the timing, as you recognize yourself, is very convenient for people trying to discredit his brexit position. Because, if there was something here, why is it only coming out now?

Perhaps him having the nickname "Teflon Tony" explains the question that you end with.

He is the type of slime that only cares about Tony, he see's Brexit as an opportunity to make himself relevant again at the expense of unrest in his party (not sure he is still a paid up Labourite)?

He dragged us into a war to ensure he remained friends with Bush senior to line his own pocket and that of his wife.

They have done very well out of it too.

I hope it's true!
