Looks to be a high casualty situation in Melbourne where a white SUV has plowed into people "without braking"..

2 men have been arrested. Thus far no indication as to cause or possible motive but news reports are stating that the vehicle made no attempt to stop as it was hitting people.

My husband was there in the crowd. It appears to be a deliberate act with at least 17 injured.

A bystander was also arrested because he made threats to kill the driver

Stay safe this Christmas

Copycat crimes should come as no surprise, unfortunately.

Oh boy. Hope the pedestrians make it through. Let's see who the 2 men are and the reason. We all know what to assume but I will wait for more info.

"Deliberate Act" They are calling it .

I hate people, I think if I could leave society and find an island of dogs I'd move there.

Hopefully that officer has more self restraint than I. Police brutality would be the least of his worries.

The temptation to just choke him to death must be overwhelming

Cop should have smashed the backside of his head against the pavement until he busted open the guy's skull.

No the cop should have let the witness do that instead of arresting him.

If a person is willing to that to random members of the public he doesn't deserve a trial, that is worthy of an instant decapitation. Justice wild west style.

Thoughts and prayers to all who are dealing with this horror.

I doubt I would have been as restrained as the cop. I was taught to shoot until the thread is extinguished. As long as that guy can walk around or drive around, he's a threat.

i don't think i would be able to restrain myself from at least slapping him and shaking him around a little. on the other hand the man is innocent until proven guilty and once safely apprehended the police must act professionally, we don't know if that man had a heart attack or seizure behind the wheel. better to question this man and find out his motives than to kill him and leave more unanswered questions.

WHY oh why could he just turn and go wherever he wanted?

What were we thinking when we built these things...

Cars don’t kill. Steering wheels do.
