'Surviving nuclear war' advice for Chinese citizens on Korean border

Chinese citizens in a city close to the North Korean border
have been told how to prepare for a nuclear attack – a sign of how
serious Beijing is taking the risk of war.
It lists the five destructive forces of a nuclear detonation:
electro-magnetic pulses, early nuclear radiation, blast waves,
light radiation and radioactive pollution, reports the Independent.

Anyone who is outside during a nuclear attack should lie in a
ditch, put light coloured clothing over exposed skin or jump
into a river or lake to lessen the chances of instant death,
the article advised.

Cartoons accompanying the article illustrated methods to
get rid of radioactive contamination.

These included splashing water on contaminated shoes
and cleaning ears with cotton buds

Another illustration portrays a vomiting child with a
description of how to flush radiation from the body
through induced vomiting and urination.

The state-backed Global Times in a commentary said
the article was published because of the worsening
situation on the North Korean peninsula.

A 2014 report published in the journal Earth's Future
found that even a regional war of 100 nuclear detonations would
produce 5 teragrams of black soot (that's 5,000,000,000 kg!)
that would rise up to Earth's stratosphere and block sunlight.
This would produce a sudden drop in global temperatures that
could last longer than 25 years and temporarily destroy much
of the Earth's protective ozone layer. This could also cause as
much as an 80% increase in UV radiation on Earth's surface and
destroy both land and sea-based ecosystems, potentially leading
to global nuclear famine.

Answer: The North Korean regime in such a hypothetical war scenario with the U.N. (the United States) will not attack the North, ((the Chinese) that are helping them with nukes. But perhaps your hypothetical war scenario might be wondering about the nuclear devastation that the U.N. (the United States) will bring soon the North Korean regime? Close to the blast there is nothing rely that can be done. The only realistic survival steps involve time, distance, and shielding. But even that requires you to be in an area that is not down wind from the blast.

This is one of many reasons I did not want trump in office. He asked more than once why we don't use nukes while running for POTUS. I mean, really? If there is a president that would use one, its him.
